HOW OBAMA SAYS MERRY CHRISTMAS:
OBAMA HAS A PRESIDENTIAL MELTDOWN; HE THREATENS TO VETO THE UNANIMOUSLY PASSED CONTINUING RESOLUTION THAT WOULD PREVENT GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN, PHONES IN ON THE BLACKBERRY TO BLAME THE HOUSE, AND GOES ON A $4 MILLION HAWAIIAN VACATION WHEN WE HAVE A $15 TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT, AND STILL NO APPROVED BUDGET.... YOU MEAN... I HAVE TO SIGN THE PERMIT FOR THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE TO GET 2 MONTHS OF PAYROLL TAX CUTS, BECAUSE I CAN’T ACCOUNT FOR $10 TRILLION OR WRITE A BUDGET THAT ADHERES TO NO DIPLOMATIC EXPENSES, LIKE TRIPS TO HAWAII??

Based on Bachmann’s words, it appears that the reported discussion about her potentially dropping out of the race was accurate. In addition to allegedly asking the congresswoman to drop her presidential bid, Vander Plaats also purportedly asked her to get behind either Rick Perry or Rick Santorum.
But Mediaite’s Nando Di Fino reports that Bachmann has no intention of bowing to this call, as she claims she has consistently polled better than either of the candidates she was apparently asked to support.
“I did receive a phone call,” Bachmann said on Fox. “[But] I’ve been polling above the Ricks. There would be no reason for me to drop out.” She made similar comments on CBS’s Early Show, saying, “It didn’t make sense because my numbers have always been above Senator Santorum’s.”
CNN has more corroboration from the Bachmann camp:
While Bachmann was somewhat vague about the discussion she had with Vander Plaats, it seems there are some discrepancies between his account of the conversation and her own. According to the Hill, Vander Plaats told CNN:

BACHMANN CONFIRMS CHRISTIAN LEADER ASKED HER TO DROP OUT OF GOP PRESIDENTIAL RACE

“[Bob] Vander Plaats called us on Saturday and asked us to consider the possibility of merging with another candidate,” Bachmann spokeswoman Alice Stewart told CNN. “He did not say whether we should be president or vice presidential candidate.”
“And obviously, we didn’t even consider that,” Stewart added. “We said, ‘Why would we do that?’”
On Tuesday, Politico initially reported that the phone call in question took place on Saturday, just three days before Vander Plaats announced that he would be endorsing Santorum. Here’s a portion from the Politico piece:Iowa evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats called Michele Bachmann and urged her to drop out of the race and endorse Rick Santorum, a source with knowledge of the conversation told POLITICO Tuesday. [...]
Evangelical, social conservatives have splintered between Santorum, Bachmann and Rick Perry in this year’s Iowa race. That dilution has left their leaders worried about the diminished influence they’ll have on picking the caucus winner, and ultimately, the Republican nominee.
Chuck Hurley, the president of the Iowa Family Policy Center who endorsed Santorum alongside Vander Plaats, said the Christian conservative movement would be better off if coalescing around a single candidate.
See Bachmann’s appearance on Fox, below, where she confirms that she “did receive a phone call” (around the 2:10 mark):While Bachmann was somewhat vague about the discussion she had with Vander Plaats, it seems there are some discrepancies between his account of the conversation and her own. According to the Hill, Vander Plaats told CNN:
“It would make it a lot easier if a couple of them would team up. I talked to a few candidates and I said, ‘I’m not saying what you should do, I’m not telling you to drop out or anything of that nature, but if you like another candidate, maybe you and the other candidate should get together and say, hey, can we make something work where it’s a team deal.’”
It seems there’s a disconnect here. It will be interesting to see how the back-and-forth unfolds, as it seems someone isn’t being completely honest about what was said.(H/T: Mediaite)

2011teaparty Tea Party Chief
Aaron Biterman posted his list of "Top 25 Reasons to Oppose RON PAUL's 2012 Campaign." I repeat his list below, exactly as it appeared on the web site Jewish Libertarians on 12/7/11, interspersed with my commentary (<<) on each of his objections. I have no idea whether his first or 25th reason is the most important, but I follow the order of these reasons that Mr. Biterman set out in his missive.
25) Jon Huntsman
<< It is greatly to his credit that Huntsman turned down the invitation to debate from "moderator" Donald Trump. And, of course, Ron Paul did so too. Heck, even "Mr. Principled" Mitt Romney turned up his nose at this "debate." However, Huntsman is aweather socialist, and has supported the poisonous individual healthcare mandate, along with his spiritual and moral counterparts, Romney, Gingrich and Obama, all unlike Ron Paul. ‘Nuff said. No, I’ll say more: Huntsman does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath, at least from a libertarian perspective, as Ron Paul. That Biterman would place him above the congressman from Texas indicates that his own libertarian credentials are hanging by a thread.
24) Gary Johnson
<< Former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson is not all bad. I go further: he is an excellent candidate. On a scale of libertarianism, I would award him a passing grade of 65 (Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Bachmann, Huntsman and Perry all clock in at less than 5 out of 100. Ron, in my view, hits the 95 level.) When asked, at one of the few debates he joined, who he would pick as his Vice President, Gary Johnson chose Ron Paul. No one can be all bad who articulates such a thought. Indeed, in my own publications about who Ron should pick as his Veep, Gary Johnson was prominently mentioned; see here and here. This is what my co-author and I said about him then, and I stand by it now: "Gary Johnson. It is too bad that the former governor of New Mexico as of the time of this writing has not been able to enter into the debates. If he did so, then there would be not one but two libertarians on stage at these important events. On the other hand, we know Ron Paul, and Gary Johnson is no Ron Paul. He is more of a ‘beltway’ or Reason Magazine libertarian than a real one. He is better than the neocons on foreign policy, but does not call for a purely defensive stance for our military. He wants to legalize drugs, but only some of them; he did not pardon any victimless criminals when he could have. He favors the legalization of prostitution, but not based on a matter of rights; merely utilitarianism. He urges reform of the Fed, not abolition. Go down the entire list: he is pretty good on most issues from a libertarian point of view, but doesn’t hit the bull’s eye on any of them."
23) The Libertarian Party
<<I am a fan of the Libertarian Party. I ran for office under its auspices in 1972. I have been an active member of it (well, except for the debacle of Bob Barr in 2008 when I quit in protest) for its entire existence. I have spoken often at its conventions. I am a card carrying member of the LP. My expectation is that if Ron wants to make a third party run, which he now denies, 99% of the Libertarian Party members would vote to nominate him. If Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination for president, I have no doubt that the LP will support him as their standard bearer too, and do everything they can to see him beat Obama. But, the Libertarian Party usually polls some 1-3% of the electorate, and is brutally ignored by the mainstream media.
How does that compare with the inroads Ron Paul is now making into the consciousness of the American electorate? To ask this is to answer it. Ron, even though all too often ignored by the mainstream media, is still burning up the airwaves and dominating the editorial pages of the major newspapers and magazines. Anyone who refuses to support Ron Paul on the ground that the Libertarian Party exists is surely smoking some controlled substances. Lots of them. Is this point really worthy of sober comment? No. But, I am determined to refute each and every one of these 25 points, and this is one of them.
22) Paul claims to support free trade, but the truth is otherwise (find Paul's Cato ratings).
<< Ron Paul subscribes to the Murray Rothbard–Milton Friedman–Hong Kong–Singapore view of free trade; inaugurate a policy of full free trade, no barriers, with all countries of the world. He opposes "fair trade," "managed trade," customs unions, and treaties such as Nafta, Cafta, etc. He wants a unilateral declaration of free trade with all nations, whether or not they reciprocate. Would that the Cato Institute adopt such a strong principled viewpoint. When an inside the beltway "libertarian" organization such as the Cato Institute is proposed as the rating agency for Ron Paul, we are all in trouble.
21) Paul endorsed the Constitution Party nominee for president in 2008; have you read the Constitution Party platform?
<< The Libertarian Party platform, although egregiously watered down from the days that Murray Rothbard was active in this organization, is still far superior to that of the Constitution Party. Here, I agree with Biterman. However, a case can be made out that Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party’s nominee that year was more libertarian than was Bob Barr. So, Ron is to be blamed for supporting the man, and not the party platform? That seems to be more than just a bit harsh.
20) Paul's campaign team consists of folks who have spent considerable time workingfor Pat Buchanan, Pat Robertson, the Christian Coalition, the Family Research Council, and various other unsavory causes.
<< It is time for an economics joke. Economist A asks economist B, "How is your wife?" Comes the reply from B: "Compared to what?" Yes, the two men mentioned, and the two organizations, each have "unsavory" (e.g., non libertarian elements). But compared to what? In 2008 the Libertarian Party, favored by Biterman, nominated Bob Barr as president, and Wayne Allyn Root as vice president. Root is a war monger and Barr is a drug warrior. Neither was much of a libertarian. I would place Barr and Root in roughly the same political economic category as Buchanan and Robertson, and rate the LP for nominating these two non libertarians in 2008, in a similar manner to the Christian Coalition and the Family Research Council. No, worse. At least these latter two did not claim to be libertarians, and thus did not engage in outright fraud.
But suppose Biterman manages to evade these comparisons. Let us stipulate, arguendo, that Buchanan and Robertson, the CC and the FRC, are horrid people and organizations. Just because someone worked for them in the past does not mean they were infected by these non libertarians. I know Ron Paul, and I know he would not knowingly associate with non libertarians in his campaign. I fully expect that when Dr. Paul is sworn in to office in January 2013, he will bring to Washington with him people who will eliminate unnecessary departments, end the Fed, help him bring home the troops, shut down U.S. military bases in foreign lands, etc. Does Biterman really doubt this? No. Course not. These are precisely the reasons that "libertarian" opposes Ron Paul.
19) Where is the campaign money being spent? Who is benefiting from the donations? Who is getting rich? These questions remain unanswered.
<< What is the source of Biterman’s income? How does he spend his money? Who benefits from Biterman’s largesse? These questions remain unanswered. Biterman, ever hear of privacy? Why is this information any of Biterman’s business? It is not. However, of course, the Paul campaign complies with all sorts of intrusive questions such as these because it is required to do so by law.
18) Paul was the economic advisor of Pat Buchanan's 1992 presidential campaign
<<So was Murray N. Rothbard, for a time, until he could no longer abide Buchanan’s protectionism. Is Pat Buchanan some sort of boogy-man, the mere mention of whose name is supposed to send us running for the hills? Buchanan had some libertarian elements in his philosophy, and, many, unfortunately, which were not. Biterman champions the Libertarian Party (see point 23 above) but Barr and Root are no more libertarian than Buchanan.
17) Paul says Gaza is filled with "Concentration Camps."
<< There are concentration camps, and then there are concentration camps. The meaning that most people ascribe to this phrase is, of course, Nazi concentration camps, where millions of people perished. But never in a million years did Dr. Paul mean to refer to Gaza in any such context. What, then, are the other meanings of this phrase? One such definition is "The term concentration camp refers to a camp in which people are detained or confined, usually under harsh conditions and without regard to legal norms of arrest and imprisonment." Under this definition concentration camps were used by the British in South Africa and the Spanish in Cuba, long before Hitler. And, they were used, too, during the Hitler period, by, of all countries, the U.S., for Japanese-Americans. None of these other "concentration camps" are to be mentioned in the same breath as the one organized by the Nazis.
I regard this of all Biterman’s 25 points as the one that rankles the most within the Jewish community, particularly amongst Israelis. But, I contend, when these people hear of this statement by Congressman Paul, they think, only and solely of Nazi concentration camps, for which there is absolutely no comparison. But how does Gaza stack up against the U.S. internment camps (concentration camps) utilized against Japanese Americans during World War II? I maintain that while of course there are differences, the two are in the same or at least similar "ball parks." Also, it is possible that Congressman Paul misspoke, had a slip of the tongue (which of us can say that this never occurred to us?).
Do I regret that my friend Ron Paul used this particular phrase in that interview? I do. Well, at least without mentioning that he had more in mind the U.S.-Japanese-American internment camp rather than anything even resembling the Nazi case. But distinctions of this sort are difficult to make in 3 minute interviews.
Nor must we lose sight of the fact that in this short interview Dr. Paul made the following very important points: He would change our Mideast policy with the goal of preventing these problems in the first place. He assigns blame to both parties. He says that Washington should mind its own business; that people in Gaza know that our weapons are used against them and blame us as well as Israel. And, we can’t afford to intervene any longer.
But, stipulate that Congressman Paul erred in this regard. No one should oppose any candidate for one single mistake. We all have slips of the tongue, and bad days (Barack Obama once mis-counted the number of states in our union; for more of his bumbles, see here). For a much more indicative view of Dr. Paul’s views on Israel, one where he indicates he is a friend of that country, go here. For the claim that Ron Paul is really a Zionist, go here and here.16) Paul's "We the People Act" would forbid federal courts from adjudicating "any claim involving the laws, regulations, or policies of any State or unit of local government relating to the free exercise or establishment of religion", i.e., it would remove all federal remedies for allegations of state violations of religious freedom.
<<Ron Paul is a federalist, like many of our founding fathers. He sees the major enemy of our freedom as an out-of-control federalgovernment. He believes that placing greater reliance on the 50 states will better ensure our liberty. So, of course, he wants to trim the sails of the federal government, and give the states more control. His reasoning is that if one state violates rights, it is far easier to deal with than when the federales do so. This is a reason to oppose his candidacy? Does not Biterman take cognizance of the concept of "voting with the feet?" Does he not realize that it is far easier to move from one locality to another, than from one country to another?
15) Paul says church-state separation has no constitutional basis.
<< Does Biterman point out the constitutional basis for church separation? He does not. He merely mentions this as a reason to oppose the Paul candidacy as if it is obvious. Is Biterman a member of the mainstream media? Isn’t there a rule that only members of the MSM are allowed to do this? I am an economist, not a constitutional scholar, so I really can’t delve deeply into this question. However, it appears to me, as an outsider, that the burden of proof rests with this author, and he has not only fulfilled it, he does not realize that it is incumbent upon him to do so.
14) Paul would be age 78 at the start of his first term.
<< True. But Dr. Paul was a national class track athlete when he was in college. He is a young 76, right now. I have no doubt that with any athletic competition between the Republican candidates (running, swimming, biking, etc.), the Congressman from Texas would acquit himself very well. Hey, Biterman opposes Paul. This should be an argument for his candidacy. For if Paul has a short life expectancy, Biterman ought torejoice in this, not complain about it. If Paul wins, according to this "logic," he will soon be gone in any case.
13) Anyone (including you) can vote "no" on legislation in Congress
<< Frankly, I don’t understand this objection.
12) Paul has no executive experience: how will he perform?
<<Obama had no executive experience before becoming president either. So what? In any case, I know exactly how President Paul will perform, and so does everyone else who has not been Rip Van Winkling it through this campaign. He will cut taxes and pull the troops home to a defensive (not offensive) position; he will cut spending by one trillion dollars in his first year. He will end, not mend, the Fed. He will rescue the U.S. dollar with a gold standard. He will no longer allow the federal government to run roughshod over state decisions to allow (medical) marijuana.
11) Paul is the choice of various notable conspiracy theorists, 9/11 truthers, and anti-Semites – and refuses to distance himself from these endorsements
<< They support him; he doesn’t support them. He "distances" himself from them all right: by saying he doesn’t agree with them. By the way, are all conspiracy theories false? Is not a one of them true? That seems to be the underlying premise of this objection, but, as usual, it is not spelled out, certainly not defended.
10) Paul posed for a photo with KKK Grand Wizard Don Black after refusing to return $500 from Black in 2008
<< Dr. Paul takes pictures with tens of thousands of people. No, make that hundreds of thousands. At the end of every speech he gives, people line up by the hundreds for a quick picture with him. Does anyone really think that Ron Paul can recognize everyone who asks to have a five second audience with him for a picture-taking? As for giving money back, under which conditions will justice better be served: The Congressman is plus $500, and the anti-Semite at zero; or, the Congressman ends up with zero funds from this episode, and the anti-Semite has the $500? Does Biterman favor enriching anti-Semites?
9) Paul supports the Defense of Marriage Act, voted for a sodomy law for DC in 1981, and voted against adoptions for gays in DC in 1999
<<Ron Paul’s votes on this matter have more to do with his espousal of federalismthan with this particular substantive issue. Ronald Reagan was once so incensed at the rent controls of New York City that he thought seriously of using the weight of the federal government to right this obvious local wrong. Ron Paul is more of a federalist than that, and Reagan was too, in the event. This, too, is a contentious issue amongst libertarians, and, as far as I am concerned, politicians get a bye when the libertarian community is unsettled on a given law or public policy.
8) Paul supports the repeal of birthright citizenship, part of his platform of "common sense" immigration reforms
<< I disagree with Ron Paul on immigration; see here, here, here and here. However, there are leading libertarians (Murray N. Rothbard, Hans-Hermann Hoppe) who espouse the Paul position on immigration. When there are leading libertarian theoreticians on both sides of an issue, it is a bit much to make such an issue a litmus test for politicians. This issue, as far as I am concerned, is part of the 5% where Ron Paul diverges from libertarianism. Go, sue him. No one is perfect. And for this we libertarians are supposed to jettison Ron Paul? And for whom? Mitt Romney? Newt Gingrich? It is to laugh.
7) Paul signed a pro-life pledge from the Susan B. Anthony List, which involves the federal government in the issue of abortion, contrary to his rhetoric.
<< The weasel word, here, is "involves." Of course this pledge "involves" the federal government. Congressman Paul’s "rhetoric" is to enable each of the states to determine these issues. Now, who is it do you think that will do this "allowing"? Why, the federal government of course; nowadays, it does most of the allowing and disallowing in our society. So, Dr. Paul’s signing of this pledge is not at all incompatible with his States' rights rhetoric. It is rather disingenuous of Biterman to make this charge. Did he not think that any Ron Paul supporter would look into it?
6) Paul is among the most vocal opponents of equal protection under the law in Congress
<<Why no link to any support for this charge? As it stands, it is a criticism without any foundation at all. Or is it Biterman’s view that Dr. Paul must prove himself innocent, rather than this critic demonstrating his flaw, thus turning on its head the usual, civilized assumption of innocent until proven guilty? What does it mean to oppose equal protection of all citizens? Does it mean that a politician wants to violate the rights of the downtrodden? If so, the very opposite is the case. The war on drugs disproportionately and negatively impacts the black community. Dr. Paul has bitterly opposed it, thus helping to better protect this segment of our populace. But, it is difficult to defend the next President of the U.S. on this point, since our critic is so unclear
5) Paul is among the most vocal opponents of Israel in Congress
<< Nonsense. No: nonsense on stilts. Dr. Paul is the best friend that Israel has in the entire Congress. He is among the few that favors Israeli independence. He speaks out in favor of the sovereignty of this country. U.S. foreign "aid" to Israel’s enemies is a multiple of what that country receives. Ending that program thus redounds to the benefit of Israel. See on this here, here, here, here, here, here andhere.
4) Paul is among the most vocal defenders of earmarks in Congress
<<Earmarked funds are thus already consigned for expenditure. Ron Paul violates no libertarian axiom in attempting to divert some of them to his constituents who have paid for them through taxes. Earmarks also increase government transparency, surely a goal to be desired by libertarians. By the phrase "among the most" is a rather improper way of quantifying anything. Biterman should do his homework, if he wants to make these charges stick. He has not done so. For Ron Paul on this earmark charge, see here, here, here, and here.
3) Paul has the arrogance to want to redefine human life itself.
<< Yes, what "arrogance" on the part of an Ob-Gyn who has delivered some 4,000 babies. Who is Dr. Paul to define life as beginning at conception? Why, everyone knows, they justknow, that life really begins at birth. Therefore, such horrors as partial birth abortion are entirely justified. I mean, the effrontery of the man! Here, I must agree with Biterman; Ron Paul is an arrogant would-be dictator, wanting to save the "lives" of mere bits of protoplasm, of no more moral importance than a cyst.
On a more serious note, this is part and parcel of what it means to be pro life. It is entirely legitimate for a libertarian to disagree with Dr. Paul on this issue. The libertarian community, as in the case of the population at large, is greatly divided on this issue. Thus, to make this into some sort of litmus test for libertarians is improper.
As it happens, I disagree with Dr. Paul on this issue. I am neither pro life nor pro choice. I adopt a third alternative, the evictionist position. See on this here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here andhere. But, do I oppose Congressman Paul’s campaign since he does not agree with me on this stupendously complicated issue, about which the greatest minds in libertarianism can come to no consensus? Of course not. I’m no Biterman.
Let me end this depressing section on a lighter note. Question: Do you know when the fetus is viable in the Jewish tradition? Answer: When it graduates from medical school.
2) His mean-spirited cult of supporters
<<Well, I suppose I’m one of them. I worship the very ground upon which Ron Paul treads. (Where’s the Kool Aid?) I’m meaner than a rattlesnake. Every other supporter of this Congressman from Texas is just like me in this regard. Nasty as the day is long.
Hey, a silly objection deserves a silly response
1) The racist Ron Paul newsletters, which Paul admitted writing in his 1996 Congressional campaign (see: Dallas Morning News, May 1996)
<< This old charge has been answered, and answered and answered once again. Only a mean-spirited cultist would bring it up once again at this late date.

Which I happen to agree with Obamoney about meeting honest constructive criticism: the issue though is I disagree with Obamoney, in that Obama has committed impeachable offenses, and an order has been issued for his impeachment, effective 1-1-12:

Why is this a jobless recovery with 25 million people out of work? It’s because of uncertainty about the Reconciliation Act of 2010:
PROPOSITION FOR A REPEAL BILL ________ TO REPLACE H.R. 4872:
While Obama is definitely right about the urgency to tackle health reform, (as costs are exorbitantly high and we have no program for the uninsured), if we do not create a program to cover the uninsured or reform health care, we will add another $3 trillion to the deficit! The cost of not reforming health care over the next decade will double, adding half of the current deficit, to the $13 trillion dollar deficit, and if we do nothing about it now, half of the deficit by 2020 is projected to be nothing but health care debt: created by 20 years of unwise Congressional spending and legislation, a whopping $20 trillion dollars in the red!
It is not enough to say to the Federal Reserve to print more money for a bailout when the cost of food and gas are inflated, and since we’re a global economy that enjoys fiat, meaning that the American dollar is the only currency that is backed by the government who can write own notes, and while this is a supreme position of financial power and financial and influence, this also makes us vulnerable to attack from other countries who covet our position and status. Essentially, if you control the value of the American dollar, by buying up gold, property, or investments backed by gold, you have the power to control the global economy, and depending on how much you have, it’s like using reigns on a horse. The more wealth you have, the more you control sectors of society, like strings of puppets. I have seen Obama depicted as Puppet Master, but the true Master of Money is the person who is the wealthiest in gold, American property, and investments. While it is true that Obama has written a lot of blank checks, in 2004 it was estimated that the government has 261,007,000,000 ounces of gold/$2,800 per ounce, so the gold value was $730,819,600,000 with $733,170,953,704 American dollars in circulation, which leaves $730,086,429,046,296, or about $730 trillion dollars in reserve.
If we were to sell off our gold to pay down the deficit, the United States is only then worth around $700 trillion dollars. With our current financial problems and people being unemployed, the government is not collecting any real tax revenue from 25 million people over the past 2-3yrs. Qualified unemployment recipients who receive $800 per month cost the government $20,000,000,000/$20 billion per month, and in one year $240,000,000,000,000/$240 billion, so for 3yrs. of unemployment that comes to an ungodly $720,000,000,000/$720 billion dollars, which by the end of this year will add $1 trillion to the deficit! The government can’t tax it’s own money, or make enough back off of taxes from unemployment checks, as it was a government pay-out to begin with! The government gives out close to $1 trillion and gets back only 1/10. The government is essentially loaning out money that was paid in by taxpayers, getting $100,000,000,000/$100 billion in revenue back for $1 trillion paid out.
Continuing this disastrous trend with unemployment will add to the deficit at nearly the same rate as the health care debt, which would put the projected deficit to then $25 trillion. Within the next 30-50 years, just with unemployment pay-outs and health care costs, the deficit will consume the entire value of gold that backs the U.S. dollar, and we’ll be penniless and gold-less, and we’ll have no capital to loan or be able to loan to other countries! Whoever buys our gold will essentially be buying our debt! Even if we used the tax revenue generated off of unemployment checks, that $100 billion, and bought gold with it, we would only add $35 million and some back, which won’t make but $142 million over the next 12 years to offset trillions of dollars spent on unemployment and health care!
So folks, this is where the rubber meets the road: health care has been so high that people have been having to choose between their health or having a roof over their head, a car to drive, and food in their stomachs. This is the main reason the I.R.S. disagrees with Obama’s wage control plan to levy the taxes to pay for health care, as even the I.R.S. knows that even if you took in more taxes to pay for a new health care program for the uninsured, Obama’s legislation fails to deal with the costs of MEDICARE/MEDICAID rising, along with private sector premiums and out-of-pocket costs, so the money it costs to treat the uninsured being used as tax write-offs for hospitals would only address one kink in the hose, like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound that really needs stitches: there are 25 million unemployed who may or may not return to work, but there are really 3 groups of people who make up the uninsured bracket of society. Illegals make up 12 million, 10 million Americans don’t have any insurance, and the other 25 million will get insurance at another job when they return to work or the ones who remain unemployed will be dropped from COBRA. Those who are insured now pay 8% higher premiums, as the hospitals charge insurance companies a percentage to offset the cost of operation for treating those not insured. Now with higher unemployment, insurance companies have jacked up their rates because of a lower pool for their policy.
The question is, why has universal care not worked for MA? MA is now carrying a deficit, against federal law, as universal care does not cover the cost of disability or address the costs of the aging population. MA’s premiums only went down $230 per year/per person, with much higher taxes, running a deficit, AND they STILL put disability appropriations on the chopping block, though that still didn’t stop their deficit or really improve care, lower premium costs substantially, or even offset medical costs to balance their budget. Universal care just shuffles federal money out around the state, and it fails to deal with the cost issues of elderly care or special needs. Which is why C.B.O. numbers are b.s.!
Keeping all of these things in mind of what we can’t keep doing and what has proven not to work, we can’t just do it Obama’s way to our country’s own undoing! America will meet her demise at Obama’s hand if we blindly follow him like sheep to the slaughter! We are to be wise as serpents, but harmless as doves, and while we’ve got to reform health care and do it N-O-W, even tort reform won’t stop this health care abyss!
As a lobbyist in GA in over the past 8 months, I have conferred with Republicans to give approval to fund H.R. 3200, H.R. 3400, H.R. 1200 (striking the mandate clause), and H.R. 3962 with much revision. I addressed committee members to agree to compromise with health care reform, and I garnered Republican concession to accept passage of 3 Democrats’ bills to their 1 bill, with the condition that H.R. 3590 be tabled until it could be revised to address cost issues effectively. The bill was so bad, it was written by Rangel, and it was determined in committee to be a conflict of interest, and I actually believe that Obama was so jealous that I prompted legislators to support this compromise, that it trumped anything he’d ever done in 10yrs. voting present in the Senate, so he refused to have Pelosi support convening on H.R. 3590, which would’ve gotten the bill thrown out entirely over ethical challenge, and he took it upon himself to write another version of it, H.R. 4872/the Recon. Act of 2010, and they used deem and pass to usurp the will of the American people, as the majority of Americans rejected it, as the majority of Americans rejected insurance mandating, federal funding of abortion, cutting $500 billion from from MEDICARE, and funding Thomson prison to house terrorists with pharmaceutical contracts for generic pills to medicate everyone into compliance, (to get them hooked on pills so they need an insurance contract!) I suggest you read the legislation for yourself, and all you have to do is read the first 150 pgs. of H.R. 4872 to see how the health care law is interpreted and will be applied in conjunction with the other bills, which sucks!
We must repeal H.R. 4872 for those reasons listed above, as those are legitimate concerns that revoke Obama’s promise of insuring the uninsured. None of that legislation pays for itself... where is the money coming from --- a $13 trillion dollar deficit?! Cutting $500 billion from MEDICARE will only make MEDICARE costs skyrocket and appropriate $500 billion divided by 47 million uninsured is like the government paying one $10 copay for a general doctor visit, and that’s it! Plus if abortion funding is not struck, that will cost $3 billion or more per year! I worked on revising this health care legislation for 3 months straight, so much so, I felt my legs were shackled to my parents’ computer desk. I would spend up to 18 hours a day some days on the computer, reading bills over 2,000 pages long, making revisions, and then taking an hour to email the entire Senate and an entire day to email the House of Representatives. I made a promise to investors to protect the stock market from this legislation, I promised business owners who were still left that taxes wouldn’t close down their business in this unprofitable economy, and I promised Obama I would turn over every abortion clinic for misappropriation if an amendment was not passed.
While I became certain we could not reform health care Obama’s way and that the law needs to be repealed before it becomes budgetary law before August 9th, 2010, I see that neither the Dems or Repubs know how to fix the problems that they’ve created and failed to govern judiciously, both sides offering inadequate solutions, with Dems offering the most undesirable solution that they’re forcing everyone to do, though their reckless spending and tripling the deficit in less than 2yrs. has increased the desperation that has made health care reform a 9-1-1 emergency! It’s weird: instead of doing their jobs to govern wisely, they’ve spent all of our tax dollars and then used that as the very reason to tax us more and pass more legislation that will tax us to death! Obama gave out a lot of money, but he didn’t tell you he’d try to recoup it with 4 new taxes on the middle class!
I was sure that repealing the bill would prevent further economic disaster, and selling insurance across state lines would help everyone, but no one had a vision of what the future American health care should look like, until I read “Why Our Health Matters” by Andrew Weil, M.D. In this book, Weil establishes medical standards that come from years of experience in conventional and non-conventional medicine, and a blue print for a system that will work in favor of the health of our nation, with health equaling wealth! It also gives a structural delegation of duties that will accomplish what Obama’s czar disciples can’t do, as a small group overseeing the entire state of the American public health. While Weil’s book was loaded with reliable facts, figures, history, and even structural system reform, it still did not tell how to measurably bring cost down or how to implement technology for our benefit to be cost effective. However, this book inspired me to discuss it with my peers, and while some are still holding out hope for Social Security, I have my own legislation to bring to the table. It’s very simple, I wrote it on half a sheet of paper with a marker, but I guarantee that it’s better than anything Obama, Congress, or the I.R.S. thought of to rectify cost issues. The C.B.O. can estimate that costs may go down some, but the C.B.O. can’t tell us how to get there or how to walk it out; however, I can.
I , Aja Brooks, would like to introduce a bill _______ for a National Health Insurance Plan, outsourced to __________. The purpose of this bill is to provide insurance for the uninsured, in the event their state has no program in their budget, or if they can’t attain MEDICAID or have been rejected by other private sector insurance companies. Monthly insurance premiums will be federally subsidized, as optional health coverage available through selecting an additional withholding on your W-4/corresponding tax forms. A National Health Advisory Council will be in charge of overseeing this program, who will interact with State Insurance Commissioners and ____________ outsourced insurance company. The National Health Advisory Council will not be a government position; doctors will submit a recommendation to a Senate committee nominating 10 most qualified doctors or influential health professionals from their field. The 10 most nominated will be the council. The Council will establish a Constitution to uphold the Hippocratic Oath and establish its own rules for terms of service and rules of operation.
The I.R.S. expansion will remain the same as in H.R. 4872, but the I.R.S. will have 3 new departments: wage division, premium division, and records division. The I.R.S. will do what it does best, collecting and recording accurate monetary and related information, and they will do do so by using the taxpayer ID# as a person’s National Health Insurance number. This way, the I.R.S. will be able to easily assess and collect information having to review and substantiate gazillions of 1099 forms, and without having to harass or hunt people down, the I.R.S. would be the only entity to have access to private medical data through use of the Tax ID number, which will track and compile medical data as soon as we add it for hospitals to submit it for billing/tax purposes.
The I.R.S. will analyze all Tax ID claims, those who have opted-in to National Health Insurance, and track the costs to those under other insurance, and also track the costs of those who refuse health insurance and compile it for an annual report for Congress. Congress could then accurately assess medical costs, with the I.R.S. curtailing fraud, and simplify billing for hospitals for those who can’t pay their bills. The computer system will work for Tax ID number only, to eradicate those who don’t pay taxes/to clearly count taxpayers’ contributions, in order to address illegal immigration as a separate cost issue that amnesty would not rectify. Billing pages will say NO TAX ID NUMBER/employer address for those who are illegal or employer tax ID#.
The I.R.S. and government can’t oversee every minute financial transaction to ensure taxes are being properly reported and not misrepresented, but they can more fairly tax, properly appropriate, and identify fraud easier with improved and accurate TAX-ID data based info. That way, it would be easier to extend tax cuts or credits to those who have large medical bills, and give a stimulus check to those who stay in good health and aren’t abusing their body or the system.
Funding for the new I.R.S. data base Tax ID# health information will cost_________. All health care providers must participate or license to practice will be revoked. Records must be submitted when patient information is taken in for admission or appointment.
Those who receive Social Security checks or unemployment checks have the option to opt-in on their forms by asking for additional withholding. This bill extends coverage to those under-insured, most of the uninsured who receive government checks, and those who are unemployed will be added to their yearly federal income taxes/that will be offset when they become employed and file their W-4 over again.
This bill excludes illegal immigrants, for the National Health Insurance Plan, as they do not possess a TAX ID number unless they are claimed as a dependent under an optional employer withholding for workman’s compensation insurance only, once we can accurately assess medical costs by TAX ID #, then we can effectively determine the costs and amount of medical services used by illegals, as to levy a tax of 3%, or require an ID card where they must pay 10% sales tax. The I.R.S. and ICE will partner to manage those claims filed that have the listing as NO TAX ID NUMBER, and the I.R.S. will determine legal work status and recommend deportation if necessary. If an illegal needs care, they must put their employer’s TAX ID NUMBER on the claim, so that withholding can be investigated by the I.R.S., and if they do not work, the spouse or head of household must disclose the employer’s TAX ID#.
While this bill is just a simple readjustment of how we do things, it may be amended or modified to fit legislative language and action as appropriate.

Why Obama is LBJ in black face; his failed economic policies & race relations, especially when it comes to Iran and Ahmedinejad, and Mubarak with Egypt. And I quote LBJ, in describing Ho Chi Minh (who was an America-hating communist revolutionary, trained and funded by Moscow, but to LBJ, Ho was a reasonable man; a man he could deal with). "If only I could get Ho in a room with me, I'm sure we could work things out."
Diane Sawyer and MSNBC really got it wrong last night.

Obama Egypt Strategy Could Place US at Risk

By Ken Timmerman
The Obama administration continues to turn up the heat on Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, after two years of quietly monitoring human rights abuses by his regime and doing nothing.
The rapid response of the White House to the protests in Egypt contrasts starkly with the Obama administration’s total silence during the first two weeks of the Green Movement protests in Iran in June 2009, even though the Iranian protesters openly called for U.S. support in their struggle to over-turn the re-election of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
At the time, Obama said the United States did not want to give the impression of interfering in Iran’s domestic politics.
Mubarak
"It is up to Iranians to make decisions about who Iran's leaders will be,” Obama said after millions of Iranians defied the government for more than four days in massive street protests demanding that their votes be counted. “We respect Iranian sovereignty and want to avoid the United States being the issue inside of Iran.”
The administration displayed no such restraint in responding to the massive street protests in Egypt this past week, and even seemed to time its statements in such a way as to spark additional protests.
“I’ve always said to him that making sure that they are moving forward on reform — political reform, economic reform — is absolutely critical to the long-term well-being of Egypt,” Obama said in a YouTube forum. “And you can see these pent-up frustrations that are being displayed on the streets.”
The very next day, millions of Egyptians received their marching orders during Friday prayers at mosques in Cairo and other major cities, and poured out into the streets in massive demonstrations that have rocked the Egyptian regime.
On Saturday, Mubarak announced that he was promoting his long-time intelligence chief Gen. Omar Suleiman as his vice-president, a move that was coordinated between the White House and top Egyptian military officers who met with President Obama the day before in an effort to manage a peaceful hand-over of power.
Just hours later, the State Department dismissed Mubarak’s efforts, undercutting the very officers who thought they had struck a deal with the White House.
“The Egyptian government can’t reshuffle the deck and then stand pat,” State Department spokesman P.J. Crowly said in a Twitter message. “President Mubarak’s words pledging reform must be followed by action.”
The flurry of U.S. government statements against Mubarak and in favor of the protesters in Egypt have been described by some commentators as a clever attempt to convince the Egyptian people that the United States supports their struggle for civil and political rights, easing the transition to a pro-Mubarak government while retaining Egypt as an ally.
But even some of the administration’s strongest supporters have warned that Obama is playing with fire.
The administration’s support for the protesters “is a slide toward the unknown,” former New York Times editor Leslie H. Gelb wrote in Newsweek on Sunday. “Senior officials have no idea of exactly who these street protesters are, whether the protesters are simply a mob force incapable of organized political action and rule, or if more sinister groups hover in the shadows, waiting to grab power and turn Egypt into an anti-Western, anti-Israeli bastion.”
Most observers fear that the U.S. efforts to encourage the protest movement will lead to a behind-the-scenes takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood, the long-outlawed Islamist movement responsible for the assassination of Mubarak’s predecessor, Anwar Sadat, and that spawned Ayman al-Zawahri, No. 2 of al-Qaida.
Such a takeover in fact may be Obama’s intention, just as his intention during the post-election protests in Iran was to support the regime in place because he saw it as a potential partner in resolving the Iranian nuclear crisis.
The Obama administration has taken numerous steps over the past two years to convince the Muslim Brotherhood that this White House no longer views them as an enemy.
Two months before Obama’s June 2009 speech in Cairo, where he offered a “new beginning” to Muslims in their relations to the United States, he welcomed two members of the Egyptian group to the White House for quiet political consultations, according to the Egyptian army newspaper, Al Masry al-Ayoum.
He also lifted a ban on travel to the United States on Tariq Ramadan, a prominent Islamist scholar who is the grandson of the founder of the Brotherhood, and went out of his way to invite Muslim Brotherhood members of Egypt’s parliament to attend his Cairo speech.
During the April 2009 White House meeting, the unnamed Muslim Brotherhood leaders reassured Obama that a Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt would “abide by all agreements Egypt has signed with foreign countries,” according to the Egyptian newspaper account. They also said they favored democracy and would support the U.S.-led war on terror.
But similar statements by Muslim Brotherhood in the past have regularly been parsed to mean the exact opposite of what they appeared to mean on the surface.
For example, the Muslim Brotherhood does not recognize Israel as a country, so their pledge to abide by Egypt’s agreements with “foreign countries” does not apply to Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel.
Similarly, the Muslim Brotherhood does not consider groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah to be terrorist organizations, and calls al-Qaida attacks on U.S. servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan acts of legitimate resistance against a foreign occupier.
Statements in favor of free elections do not transform the Muslim Brotherhood into a democratic group, says a former top Israeli military intelligence analyst, Dr. Mordechai Hadar.
“Democracy is not just about elections,” Hadar told congressional staffers last week in Washington. “It’s also about rights — women’s rights, minority rights, freedom for gays and lesbians."
Hadar had warnings for the Israeli Embassy: “If the Muslim Brotherhood takes over in Egypt, it means the end of the peace treaty [with Israel], and the life expectancy of the Israeli Embassy in Cairo will be calculated in minutes."
Opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei, the former secretary general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, confirmed that he is working hand in glove with the Muslim Brotherhood on CNN’s “GPS” program with Fareed Zakaria on Sunday.
“I have been reaching out to them, that we need to include them, that they are a part of Egyptian society,” ElBaradei said.
Read more on Newsmax.com: Muslim Brotherhood Throws Support to ElBaradei.
ElBaradei tried to downplay the Brotherhood’s radical agenda, and dismissed any hint that Egypt would go the way of Iran in 1979, when the former shah’s regime was replaced by an Islamic dictatorship.
Even if the Egyptian army agrees to allow ElBaradei to head some form of transition government, “he is likely at best to be an interim figure — putting a face acceptable to the West on a government he doesn’t control — until either the army or the Brotherhood takes over,” says Shoshana Bryen, senior director for security policy at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs in Washington, D.C.

to quote Beck:
"Johnson's self-deluded confidence in his own persuasive powers and his fundamental misreading of the enemy's intentions cost the nation oceans of blood and treasure. Given his assumption that Ho would be 'reasonable', Johnson has designed his policy around that faulty premise.
To have any chance of succeeding in the conflict, the military advised him to massively expand the bombing campaign of the North. Instead, Johnson's God complex led him to choose the bombing targets himself during weekly luncheons--Tuesdays worked best for his schedule--with no military representatives present. Johnson and two civilian aides literally sat and handpicked the targets--a process that sounds remarkably similar to FDR's haphazard selection of the cost increase of gold.
The reason for this was simple: Johnson, in his infinite progressive wisdom, wanted 'controlled' use of force so as to elicit a 'cooperative' response from the enemy. 'We should strive to hurt but not destroy [the enemy],' said former LBJ national security advisor McGeorge Bundy, 'for the purpose of changing the North Vietnamese decision on intervention in the South.
LBJ saw the bombing not as a military effort but as an act of persuasion, explaining to one aide that his strategy was to view the bombing as 'seduction not rape'. Ho was apparently the damsel, LBJ the dashing seeker of his affections. This, of course, assumed that Ho was interested in being seduced and could be persuaded--and you know what happens when you assume."
translation: Obama's god-complex, in thinking that Hu of China would become reasonable, in light of his ninja assassin Army and red Chinese cents that have broke the back of George Washington $1 bills down to being worth only $.60, is that Obama designs his economic and foreign policy around himself, and how he fails to see what we do.
This is just like the drone strikes, probably undertaken by Gibbs and Dunn, until the shrink nutted up at Ft. Hood about it. Obama has used this controlled-force tactic of war, without eliciting any such cooperative response from China, Afghanistan, or Iran! Obama has employed this form of 'diplomatic war' and furthered it with Egypt, in getting the Press to give Mubarak a farewell ode, when they're done with him, and have been done with him for awhile now.
Obama sees drone strikes as 'persuasion', when they have been counterproductive to intelligence operations in our own country and Afghanistan, regarding the opium trade and the Taliban's covert control through Karzai. Obama's 'persuasive' tactics of 'have-I-kicked-your-@ss-enough-for-me-to-reinstate-Karzai" is not only the undoing of Obama's failed military policy, it is responsible for the deaths of high-ranking and specialized military officers this January 2011.
So much so, that even though we should've pulled the plug on Iraq after hanging Saddam, in which I as a 30yr. old feel Iraq was my generation's Vietnam, Obama continues to perpetuate another Vietnam with Afghanistan with drone strikes: despite Wikileak's busting him out with thousands of documents confirming this corruption with Karzai, and the Palestine Papers being leaked, indicating his desire to not be seen just as pseudo-President but leader of the New World Order.
Hu has shown that China won't be seduced or persuaded, so I ask you: how much longer does the military ride out Obama's assumptions at the cost of their own blood and ours???

‘Wastebook 2011′ – New Report On Wasteful Government Spending
December 21, 2011 Federal, Political News No CommentsFlorida Political Press
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK) has released a new oversight report, “Wastebook 2011” that highlights over $6.5 billion in examples of some of the most egregious ways your taxpayer dollars were wasted.
This report details 100 of the countless unnecessary, duplicative and low-priority projects spread throughout the federal government.
“Video games, robot dragons, Christmas trees, and magic museums. This is not a Christmas wish list, these are just some of the ways the federal government spent your tax dollars. Over the past 12 months, politicians argued, debated and lamented about how to reign in the federal government’s out of control spending. All the while, Washington was on a shopping binge, spending money we do not have on things we do not absolutely need. Instead of cutting wasteful spending, nearly $2.5 billion was added each day in 2011 to our national debt, which now exceeds $15 trillion,” Dr. Coburn said.
“Congress cannot even agree on a plan to pay for the costs of extending jobless benefits to the millions of Americans who are still out of work. Yet, thousands of millionaires are receiving unemployment benefits and billions of dollars of improper payments of unemployment insurance are being made to individuals with jobs and others who do not qualify. And remember those infamous bridges to nowhere in Alaska that became symbols of government waste years ago? The bridges were never built, yet the federal government still spent more than a million dollars just this year to pay for staff to promote one of the bridges.”
Examples of wasteful spending highlighted in “Wastebook 2011” include:
• $75,000 to promote awareness about the role Michigan plays in producing Christmas trees & poinsettias.
• $15.3 million for one of the infamous Bridges to Nowhere in Alaska.
• $113,227 for video game preservation center in New York.
• $550,000 for a documentary about how rock music contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
• $48,700 for 2nd annual Hawaii Chocolate Festival, to promote Hawaii’s chocolate industry.
• $350,000 to support an International Art Exhibition in Venice, Italy.
• $10 million for a remake of “Sesame Street” for Pakistan.
• $35 million allocated for political party conventions in 2012.
• $765,828 to subsidize “pancakes for yuppies” in the nation’s capital.
• $764,825 to study how college students use mobile devices for social networking.

Back in September President Obama had U.S. citizen Anwar al-Awlaki assassinated. When pressed on the legality of using “targeted killing” against a U.S. citizen without first providing due process, the Most Transparent Administration in History™ clammed up. Eventually word leaked that White House and DOJ lawyers had written a memo justifying the assassination. The memo was “secret.”
In October Charlie Savage of The New York Times convinced someone in the Obama administration to describe the memo to him:

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A wave of bombs tore through mostly Shi'ite neighborhoods of Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 69 people and evoking fears that Iraq could dissolve into a new round of sectarian violence now that U.S. troops have left.
The attacks appeared to be a well-coordinated assault by Sunni militants linked to al-Qaida, and they targeted markets, grocery stores, cafés and government buildings in a dozen neighborhoods. They coincided with a government crisis that already has strained ties between the two sects to the breaking point.
For many Iraqis, this could be the beginning of a nightmare scenario: The fragile alliance in the governing coalition is collapsing, large-scale violence bearing the hallmarks of al-Qaida insurgents has returned and Shi'ite Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki may be moving to grab the already limited power of the minority Sunnis.
"The conditions that perpetuate civil wars are making a hasty comeback," said Ramzy Mardini, an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War in Washington.
The bombings may be linked more to the withdrawal of the last U.S. troops Sunday than the political crisis, but all together the developments raise the specter of a return to the Shi'ite-Sunni sectarian bloodshed that pushed Iraq to the brink of civil war in 2006 and 2007.
At least 16 blasts went off across Baghdad, killing 69 people and wounding nearly 200 more. Most exploded in the morning, but at least two struck Thursday evening.
The deadliest attack was in the Karrada neighborhood, where a suicide bomber driving an explosives-laden vehicle blew himself up outside a government office. Two police officers at the scene said the bomber was driving an ambulance and told guards that he needed to get to a nearby hospital. After the guards let him through, he drove to the building and blew himself up, the officers said.
"I was sleeping in my bed when the explosion happened," said 12-year-old Hussain Abbas, standing in his pajamas. "I jumped from my bed and rushed to my mom's lap. I told her I did not want to go to school today. I'm terrified."
In Washington, the White House condemned the bombings and said attempts to derail progress in Iraq will fail. Press secretary Jay Carney said the attacks serve no agenda "other than murder and hatred."
Vice President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama's point man on Iraq, called President Jalal Talabani to discuss the situation.

The report concluded both sides had made mistakes, blaming poor information and inadequate co-ordination between US and Pakistani forces on the ground.
The Pakistani military said the report was "short on facts".
Pakistan closed its border with Afghanistan after the incident, cutting off vital Nato supply lines.
In a short statement, the Pakistani military said it did not agree with the findings of the report "as being reported in the media".
"The inquiry report is short on facts," it said.
The statement said the military would present a more detailed response "as and when the formal report is received".
Islamabad, a vital partner in the fight against militants in the region, has demanded a formal US apology.
In its report, the US military admitted it bore significant responsibility for the deaths in Mohmand tribal agency on 26 November, and expressed "deep regret" for the "tragic loss of life".
"This, coupled with other gaps in information about the activities and placement of units from both sides, contributed to the tragic result."
In a news briefing later at the Pentagon, spokesman George Little said: "For the loss of life and for the lack of proper co-ordination between US and Pakistani forces that contributed to those losses we express our deepest regret.
"We further express sincere condolences to the Pakistani people, to the Pakistani government and, most importantly, to the families of the Pakistani soldiers who were killed or wounded."
The Defence Department has said lessons must be learned and that it hopes Pakistan and the US can work together to improve their mutual level of trust.
The BBC's Caroline Wyatt in Kabul says it appears from the report that Nato officials did not inform Pakistan of the operation in advance, after fears that the Pakistani military were leaking information to insurgents.
Pakistan responded furiously to the killings of its soldiers.
As well as shutting its border with Afghanistan, which Nato relies on heavily for deliveries of fuel, ammunition and other supplies, it also refused to attend the Bonn conference on Afghanistan earlier this month

If Paul groupies know he put his name on racist newsletters, said Jews had concentration camps, & still like him, I d/n want 'em n the GOP.
while all of that may have been true, Paul would have been better off to say that he can’t be responsible for how other people perceive what he says, though he’s not racist. Instead, right before the last debate Paul canceled appearing on Hannity, because he didn’t want Hannity asking him about it, then he fibbed his way through the interview afterwards about it, and for the first time, I watched him suck air and stutter, he is a terrible liar....Response to a Jewish Opponent of Ron Paul
by Walter Block
Recently by Walter Block: Open Letter to the Republican Jewish Coalition on Ron Paul

The Tea Party decrees by the power of the Constitution, that Barack Obama is hereby subject to the Order of Impeachment effective 1-1-12, subsequent to the House Petition for Impeachment filed 5-27-11 in accordance with the investigative conclusions on the following Articles of Impeachment filed as offenses and abuses of power, that Obama has been found guilty to have violated the Oath of Office in an evil and egregious manner and of gross misappropriation, so that he is therefore no longer recognized or respected as President of the United States, by the good people he was sworn to serve.
We ask that he willingly leave the Office on 1-1-12, as we are no longer required to respect him for he broke his Oath of Office, nor are we required to uphold any laws that he has signed against our will:

Congressman Capuano is handling investigation of Fannie Mae&Freddie Mac:
Subcommittee Work
My committee and subcommittee assignments were finalized this week as the House continued organizing for the session. I will continue my work on Transportation & Infrastructure and Financial Services and am looking forward to the challenges that the 112th Congress will no doubt present. I am especially looking forward to my new role as Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations within Financial Services. This subcommittee is responsible for investigating and overseeing all of the programs and agencies that fall under the jurisdiction of the committee, and reviewing existing laws to determine if changes need to be made. House Republicans have advocated for ending Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and limiting the authority of the newly established Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was created by the financial regulatory reform legislation passed last year. I expect that some of our subcommittee work will involve scrutiny of these institutions and of the reform bill overall. I am always open to compromise and willing to talk about making improvements to existing programs and laws. I will vigorously oppose, however, efforts to weaken or roll back this vital legislation and will continue to advocate for maintaining access to affordable mortgages and meaningful consumer protections. I also had the opportunity to serve as Ranking Member on the Transportation Committee’s Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment but Caucus Rules prevent Members from serving as the top Democrat on more than one subcommittee.

OBAMA STILL TRYING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY UNWISELY:
President Calls for More Spending as CBO Projects Near-$1.5 Trillion Budget Deficit
This week, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) announced that this year’s budget deficit could hit $1.48 trillion, nearly ten percent of our nation’s gross domestic product. Unfortunately, President Obama has failed to propose solutions that would put an end to this out-of-control deficit spending. During his State of the Union address Tuesday evening, Congressman Miller was disappointed to hear the President call for additional “stimulus” spending, despite the fact that the $814 billion “stimulus” enacted into law two years ago failed to deliver on its promise to create millions of new jobs and hold the unemployment rate under eight percent. He is also concerned about the President’s proposal to freeze domestic spending at current levels for the next five years. This freeze, rather than reduce our deficit, would actually lock in the Democrat spending spree of the past two years for years to come. In fact, the CBO noted that under current law, discretionary spending between 2009 and 2011 will increase by $137 billion, one-third of which stems from funding authorized by the “stimulus” law. Congressman Miller believes that the government must learn to live within its means to avoid passing on an even larger debt to future generations of Americans.
Legislation Introduced to Ban Taxpayer Funding of Abortion
On Monday, scores of Americans braved bitterly cold temperatures in Washington to participate in the annual March for Life, expressing their support for the protection of innocent human life. Sadly, since the Supreme Court’s flawed decision in Roe v. Wade thirty-eight years ago, more than 50 million abortions have been performed in the United States. As a father and grandfather, Congressman Miller believes it is important to protect the rights of the unborn, and has consistently used his voice and vote in Congress to do so. Recently, he became an original co-sponsor of legislation to permanently prevent the use of taxpayer funds for abortion. Currently, several policies must be approved separately each year - typically as amendments to appropriations legislation - to prevent abortions at taxpayer expense. H.R. 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, would combine these measures and make them permanent. This includes the Hyde Amendment, which bans funding for elective abortion coverage through federal health programs, and the Helms Amendment, which prohibits funding for abortion as a method of family planning overseas. The bill also ensures the conscience rights of doctors, nurses and other medical providers who oppose abortion. Congressman Miller urges speedy House consideration of this important legislation to protect taxpayers and promote a culture of life in America.

Obama's Ongoing War on Inspectors General
~American Thinker ~
Here, we have Obama's modus operandi regarding inspectors generals -- the taxpayers' best friends and the unsung heroes in government.
One after another, inspectors general have been reporting that Obama's stewardship of taxpayer money has failed and that the administration has been using funny numbers to bamboozle the public into believing that the programs are succeeding. When the proverbial you-know-what hits the fan, the administration retaliates. The strategy seems to be to stop the criticism -- and to prevent it from happening in the first place, since whistle-blowers will fear what may happen to them if they tell the truth. Welcome to Chicago politics writ large.
Darrell Issa, the new chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has announced plans to investigate how the administration has spent our money. He has also expressed a desire to expand the powers of inspectors generals. Lord knows they will need the power to counter the machinations of Barack Obama and Company.

Obama lied, knowingly defrauded voters of a fair election in 2008, misrepresenting his place of birth as Hawaii, when the Kenyan Embassy has confirmed his birthplace to be of Kenya, fearing prosecution by the U.S. for perjury. The DNC actively participated and snail-paced legal cases to get him in office arbitrarily, despite the fact that swearing an Oath of Office perjures Obama by default. The proof lies at the burden of the Supreme Court, as of 1-7-2011, and each donation over a certain amount constitutes a felony charge for each. While it is true that Clinton was guilty of this practice, while Obama was a Senator, she has continued these practices and allegiances around the world as Secretary of State.

Fiscal Insanity: After Two Years of Failed ‘Stimulus’ Spending, Democrats Want … More ‘Stimulus’???
Posted by Katie Boyd on February 02, 2011
What’s the definition of fiscal insanity? Apparently for Democrats, it’s calling for another round of more wasteful ‘stimulus’ spending and expecting it to create jobs – despite the fact that it has failed to deliver on their promises over the past two years. Today, House Democrats are holding a “mock hearing” to echo President Obama’s call for more budget-busting ‘stimulus’ spending, once again promising that it will create much-needed jobs for the 14.5 million unemployed Americans. Sound familiar? It should – it is the same empty promise that Democrats have used to keep their spending binge on autopilot for the past two years:
February 2009: President Obama Says the ‘Stimulus’ Will “Create or Save 3.5 Million Jobs Over the Next Two Years.” (Remarks at the Signing of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, 2/17/09) [February 2009 Unemployment Rate: 8.2 percent; U.S. Debt: $10.79 trillion]
November 2009: Then-Speaker Pelosi Says the American People Can “Absorb” More Deficit Spending Because “Their Neighbors and Their Children Will Have Jobs.” (ThinkProgress’ “The Wonk Room” Blog, 11/24/09) [November 2009 Unemployment Rate: 10 percent; U.S. Debt: $12.02 trillion]
March 2010: Then-Speaker Pelosi Hails Passage of a Bill That Includes $20 Billion in Infrastructure ‘Stimulus,’ Claiming it “Will Produce 300,000 Additional Jobs.” (Press Conference, 3/17/10) [March 2010 Unemployment Rate: 9.7 percent; U.S. Debt: $12.64 trillion]
August 2010: President Obama Calls for an Additional $26 Billion in State and Local ‘Stimulus’ Spending to “Save Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs.” (Remarks by the President on Teacher Jobs, 8/10/10) [August 2010 Unemployment Rate: 9.6 percent; U.S. Debt: $13.32 trillion]
October 2010: President Obama Calls for an Additional $50 Billion in Infrastructure Spending to Create Jobs “Right Now.” (Remarks on Rebuilding America’s Infrastructure, 10/11/10) [October 2010 Unemployment Rate: 9.6 percent; U.S. Debt: $13.61 trillion]
We know that nearly a trillion dollars in ‘stimulus’ spending hasn’t created the jobs Democrats promised, so what has it done? Here’s a by-the-numbers look at the real economic impact of the ‘stimulus’:
Private sector jobs lost since the ‘stimulus’ was signed: 1.8 million
Obama Administration’s projected unemployment rate with the ‘stimulus’: 7 percent; actual unemployment rate: 9.4 percent
Difference between the number of jobs the Administration said there would be if the ‘stimulus’ passed (137.6M) versus how many there are (130.7M): 6.8 million
Number of U.S. states that have lost jobs since the ‘stimulus’ was signed: 47 out of 50
Increase in the U.S. debt since the ‘stimulus’ was signed: $3.34 trillion
Increase in non-defense discretionary government spending since President Obama took office: 84 percent
While Democrats may have been woefully wrong about the impact the ‘stimulus’ would have on job creation, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was right about one thing: “The American people have an anger about the growth of the deficit because they’re not getting anything for it.” The new majority is listening to the American people, and taking steps to stop the job-crushing spending binge and give small businesses the certainty they need to create jobs. As House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) explained on an appearance on Fox News Sunday this week:
“Cutting spending will in fact help create jobs in America. ... The fact is this, by spending money we don’t have, running up the huge budget deficits, we create more uncertainty in the private sector. This is where cutting spending will create jobs because it is going to bring greater fiscal responsibility here in Washington, DC, end some of the uncertainty, and allow jobs to be created in America. ... We all heard what our voters had to say: cut spending, create jobs. The fact is that our spending resolution where we instructed the Appropriations Committee to come back to the House … said bring us back at 2008 levels pre-‘stimulus,’ pre-bailout levels or less.”
Speaker Boehner has made it clear that there is “no limit” to the amount of spending the new majority is willing to cut to help create jobs and get our economy back on track. That was our Pledge to America, and we will keep it.

IN OBAMA’S BOOK, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CRY ‘RACISM’ AND THAT ENTITLES YOU TO BREAK THE LAW.
VERIFIED BY COURT RECORDS: TONY REZKO, OBAMA’S FRAUDULENT FUNDRAISER, GETS SENTENCED 10YRS. FOR QUESTIONABLE DONATIONS AND FOR LAND ADJACENT TO OBAMA’S HOUSE THAT WAS BOUGHT WITH COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT FUNDS, ALL COURT RECORDS ARE NOW PUBLIC WHICH IMPLICATE OBAMA’S FRAUD, AS PLEA WAS SEALED BEFORE SENTENCING, UNTIL NOW. BLAGO, WHO TRIED TO SELL OBAMA’S SENATE SEAT FOR CASH OVER THE PHONE, GETS 14YRS. FOR THE POLITICALLY CORRUPT STUNT, IN WHICH HE WAS TOLD BY OTHER DEMOCRATS THAT HE WOULDN’T HAVE GOTTEN CAUGHT, IF HE’D SHARED THE WEALTH WITH THE REST OF THE PARTY. IN RESPONSE TO CALLS FOR HOLDER’S RESIGNATION, HOLDER HAS SEALED BORDER AGENT BRIAN TERRY’S RECORDS, WHO WAS MURDERED OVER THE FAST AND FURIOUS SCANDAL.
OBAMA HAS RAN UP A $10 TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT, RAISING THE DEBT CEILING

Driving up the cost of gas to say you created 2,500 jobs in Detroit so Obama can recoup the money that he invested in electric cars or green technology is not paying for itself.) INVESTIGATION CONCLUDED: BY CONGRESSIONAL HEARING THAT CHU LIES TO CONGRESS ABOUT SOLYNDRA, COSTING TAXPAYERS A $545 MILLION DOLLAR LOAN, CREATING ZERO JOBS, ONE OF MANY GREEN ENERGY SCAM INITIATIVES BY THE OBAMA ADMIN., GREEN ENERGY SCAMS FRONTED AS

OBAMA FOUND GULITY OF ARTICLES #1 #4 #7:
-FAILED SOCIAL POLICIES (requiring people pay for insurance when they’re not caring for their bodies is the government’s way of taxation on your health as a commodity, which is unconstitutional. Abortion has bankrupted the Congressional purse, Obama insists we offer these services, and continue doing more of them. Welfare and unemployment have drained us financially. Food stamps are the biggest issue of government waste, 37 states indicate fraud, though this Administration continues to lie and say that most people use them correctly. How many states does it take, or how many per population group to admit this is throwing away money into an abyss fueling societal decay and the drug wars, the very financing mechanism of the Taliban??) OBAMA FOUND GUILTY OF ARTICLE #2:
-FAILED NUCLEAR POLICY INITIATIVES/DIPLOMATIC POLICY(we are stretched too thin. When Saddam’s head rolled, we should have left Iraq. Instead Bush Jr. engaged us in an unconstitutional stay longer than 2yrs., and Obama did not immediately withdraw. We have been slaughtered in Afghanistan’s mountains, instead of decimating strongholds, we have been engaging in a tedious ground war, and we have entered into supplying military action in Egypt and Libya, rather than getting NATO to act in accord, they have put it off on us. We have failed to deal with policy that has jeopardized our security, including accusing the entire country of Pakistan for harboring Bin Laden, when he may have long ago been dead in 2007, the hideout set up as if he was still there carrying out operations as a propaganda headquarters. If the government shuts down, the military will receive delayed wages or their pay will be withheld on 1-1-12.
- If both the House and Senate do not come to an agreement by 1-1-12 on another continuing resolution, the government will shut down, because Obama failed to sign the permit for the Keystone Pipeline, as agreed, in order to get the 2 month extension on the Payroll Tax Cuts, which are regularly budgeted revenue, that would be offset by the revenue from the Pipeline Project.

OBAMA CAN SPEND $4 MILLION TO GO TO HAWAII, BUT NOT HONOR THE DEAD. NOW I KNOW THIS HAPPENED DURING BUSH JR.’S ADMINISTRATION, BUT THE UNCLAIMED REMAINS OF SOLDIERS HAD BEEN CREMATED AND PUT INTO A LANDFILL....WE HAVE DISCUSSED ON FACEBOOK ABOUT MAKING A SOLDIER’S MOUND AFTER PURIFYING THE ASHES AGAIN, BY A REBURNING. THEN THIS TURNS UP AT ARLINGTON:
Fox News | ARLINGTON, Va. – Thousands of grave markers at Arlington National Cemetery may need to be replaced or added to accurately account for the dead, following a meticulous Army review of each of the nearly 260,000 headstones and niche covers on the grounds. In a report to Congress on Thursday, the Army found potential discrepancies between headstones and cemetery paperwork on about 64,000 grave markers -- about one in four. Congress ordered the review last year following reports of misidentified and misplaced graves that led to the ouster of the cemetery's top executives. The report found no further evidence of misplaced graves, though it cautioned that its review is not complete and that some errors could have gone undetected. There are potentially thousands of minor errors, including misspelled names, or incorrect military ranks and dates of birth and death. The Army compared information on every headstone to its internal records, scouring handwritten logs of the dead from the Civil War and a hodgepodge of other records to verify accuracy. In an interview, the cemetery's executive director, Kathryn Condon, said reviews are ongoing and it's premature to try to estimate exactly how many headstones may need replacement. To be sure, many of the 64,000 discrepancies will turn up no problem with a headstone -- it may be as simple as a typo on an internal record. And in many cases, the discrepancies are not errors at all but reflect past practices at the cemetery that are now considered outdated. One of the biggest surprises uncovered by the review was that in most of the early 20th century, the cemetery did not include the name of a wife on a headstone when she was buried next to her husband. Under current practices, the name of the spouse is etched onto the back of the headstone. ... |

The New York Times Is Suing the DOJ Over the Assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki
Mike RiggsReason Magazine
12/21/2011
Back in September President Obama had U.S. citizen Anwar al-Awlaki assassinated. When pressed on the legality of using “targeted killing” against a U.S. citizen without first providing due process, the Most Transparent Administration in History™ clammed up. Eventually word leaked that White House and DOJ lawyers had written a memo justifying the assassination. The memo was “secret.”
In October Charlie Savage of The New York Times convinced someone in the Obama administration to describe the memo to him:
The secret document provided the justification for acting despite an executive order banning assassinations, a federal law against murder, protections in the Bill of Rights and various strictures of the international laws of war, according to people familiar with the analysis. The memo, however, was narrowly drawn to the specifics of Mr. Awlaki’s case and did not establish a broad new legal doctrine to permit the targeted killing of any Americans believed to pose a terrorist threat.
The Obama administration has refused to acknowledge or discuss its role in the drone strike that killed Mr. Awlaki last month and that technically remains a covert operation. The government has also resisted growing calls that it provide a detailed public explanation of why officials deemed it lawful to kill an American citizen, setting a precedent that scholars, rights activists and others say has raised concerns about the rule of law and civil liberties.
But the document that laid out the administration’s justification — a roughly 50-page memorandum by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, completed around June 2010 — was described on the condition of anonymity by people who have read it.
The legal analysis, in essence, concluded that Mr. Awlaki could be legally killed, if it was not feasible to capture him, because intelligence agencies said he was taking part in the war between the United States and Al Qaeda and posed a significant threat to Americans, as well as because Yemeni authorities were unable or unwilling to stop him.
The memorandum, which was written more than a year before Mr. Awlaki was killed, does not independently analyze the quality of the evidence against him.
That story has become, in part, the basis for a lawsuit Savage and the Times have filed against the DOJ for not disclosing the memo that justifies al-Awlaki’s assassination. The lawsuit, which Savage posted online today, “seek[s] the production of agency records improperly withheld by the United States Department of Justice in response to requests properly made by Plaintiffs.” While Savage and the Times don’t know how many documents exist, Savage’s contact in the administration revealed to him that “there exists at least one legal memorandum detailing the legal analysis justifying the government’s use of targeted killing.”…The article continues at Reason.com

This video is from C-SPAN and a December 19th broadcast they have called “Surveillance and Privacy Issues.”
About the totalitarian powers of putative President Obama, now acceded by the United States Congress and it’s new National Defense Authorization Act, Jonathan Turley, Law Professor of George Washington University, answers a caller from South Carolina.
That patriot, a self described Democrat, begins speaking at the 14:12 mark. I suggest sliding there to hear his comments, if not the entire video. Then, at 15:44 Turley responds…
If America is the battleground, nobody has any rights…An amendment that would have explicitly excluded U.S. citizens from the bill’s military detention provisions failed by a 45-55 vote in the Senate, with only a handful of Tea Party Republicans — including Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Mark Kirk, R-Ill., — breaking with their party to oppose selective martial law within the United States.
The language that passed Thursday ducks the issue, stating that the bill isn’t intended to change existing law on U.S. citizens arrested in the U.S. But the compromise Congress settled on settles nothing. Existing law is unclear, and the NDAA makes it murkier still…
Update: Senator Mike Lee argues against “Defense Authorization Act”
…Glenn spoke with Congressman Allen West about the controversial and vague Defense Authorization Act which seems to give government power to detain American citizens who are merely ‘suspected’ of a terrorist act. Congressman West argued for it, Senator Lee is very much against it.
“It’s one thing if you have non-U.S. citizens captured on the battlefield. It’s quite another when you have captured a U.S. citizen captured in the territory of the United States of America,” he told Glenn.
Lee said the bill essentially makes the U.S. a battlefield – and for that reason he has in the past and will continue to vote against the bill.

At least 69 die in bombings in Iraq; more violence feared with U.S. troops gone

Pakistan rejects US air strike deaths report
Pentagon spokesman George Little expressed the "deepest regret" for the loss of life
Taliban Conflict
US-Pakistan downturn
- 30 Sept 2010: Nato helicopters kill two Pakistani soldiers, prompting nearly two-week border closure in protest
- 22 April 2011: Supplies to Nato forces in Afghanistan halted for three days in protest over drone attacks
- 2 May: US announces Bin Laden's death and says Pakistan not warned of raid
- 2 June: Top US military chief Adm Mike Mullen admits "significant" cut in US troops in Pakistan
- 10 July: US suspends $800m of military aid
- 22 Sept: Outgoing US Adm Mullen accuses Pakistan of supporting Haqqani militant group in Afghanistan; denied by Pakistan

South Sudan and Israel - unlikely allies?
South Sudan's President Salva Kiir sets off on an official visit to Israel. Inside Story Last Modified: 22 Dec 2011 10:27 inShare10 Share Feedback
Israel and South Sudan share no borders. The distance between their capital cities Tel Aviv and Juba is more than 3,000 kilometres. The two countries do not have any real cultural, religious or ethnic links either.
And yet, Israel was one of the first countries in the world to recognise South Sudan's independence earlier this year. In September, Salva Kiir, the president of South Sudan, and Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, met at the sideline of the United Nations general assembly. This week, Kiir has made an official visit to Israel. What explains this close yet discreet relationship? Both sides described Kiir’s trip to Israel as a historic visit, and it reveals the strength of the relationship between Tel Aviv and Juba. Shimon Peres, the Israeli president, described it as a defining moment in the history of the Middle East. Both sides have also agreed to boost their co-operation in all fields. Israel’s foothold in South Sudan is significant, as it continues its efforts to build a Christian alliance in Africa to fend off Arab influence and the growing Islamic trends there. Observers say Israel has found fertile soil in Africa’s military conflicts to market its weapons industry and gain influence. But Israeli ties to Sudan’s southern region go back to the 1960s, when it offered aid and training to the rebels fighting the northern government. In that context, it is not surprising that it took less than 24 hours for Israel to recognise the newborn Republic of South Sudan this year.
An Israeli ambassador is due to arrive in Juba in the near future, but in a sign of just how deep the ties between the two countries are, Kiir recently told a senior member of Israel's ruling Likud party that South Sudan would be one of a handful of countries to establish an embassy in Jerusalem, despite the city’s disputed status with regards Palestine's claim. So should Israel's neighbours be worried about its ties with South Sudan? And what interest would Israel have in building another foothold in East Africa? Inside Story, with presenter Teymoor Nabili, discusses with guests: Herb Keinon, a diplomatic correspondent for the Jerusalem Post; Jacob Akol, the director of the South Sudanese information website Gurtong.net and the chairman of the Association for Media Development in Southern Sudan; and Gamal Nkrumah, the deputy editor of Al Ahram Weekly.
EYE ON EGYPT:
Egyptians to stage anti-junta rally
Fri Dec 23, 2011 7:10AM GMTEgyptian activists have called for a mass rally in Cairo on Friday against the ruling junta.
Egyptian activists have called for a major rally in the capital Cairo to protest the ruling junta's management of Egypt's domestic affairs and the military's delay in transferring power to a civilian rule.
Egypt's opposition activists called on their compatriots to join Friday's protest and take to the streets in a march in the capital.
"The current predicament we have reached is a result of the army council's reluctance to play its role, its intentional foot-dragging, breaking its obligations and failing over the economy and security, putting the whole country on the edge of a huge crisis," said a statement signed by two dozen parties including the youth movements and others calling for the protest.
Egypt's Revolution Youth Movement, which played a lead role in massive demonstrations that brought down the US-sponsored Mubarak regime in February, said the army's handling of the latest street protests showed it was seeking to "protect the previous regime.”
At least, one hundred people have been killed in clashes between protesters and security forces as well as sectarian violence since the military took power.
The deaths, coupled with the brutality shown by army troops against protesters that included women, have prompted some activists to consider suing the ruling generals in local courts or have them put on trial before the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
Activists and political groups have become increasingly critical of military rulers' management of Egypt's transitional period, which the junta had promised would be a six-month span.
They have also widely rebuked the head of the ruling military council, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, for his reluctance to implement sweeping changes and dismantle elements of the former regime.
The military rulers have yet to give a clear timetable for their plan to step down and hand over power.

#State Rep. Steve Davis (R-McDonough) maintains that he was conducting business on various legislative committees, when the expenses were incurred.
#“You have somebody from Henry County who is doing their job,” said Davis. “It shouldn’t be taken as a negative thing.”
#The Associated Press (AP), on Sunday, reported that Davis, and other state legislators, collectively billed the state for more than $1.3 million this year for travel and expenses, while the legislature was not in session.
#“Even as lawmakers have cut the state budget and eliminated thousands of government jobs, they have continued a long-standing practice that pays some more than $15,000 a year in expense money, on top of their $17,000 annual salary,” the AP article said.
#Davis said his expenditures reflect a busy year for state politics, and for himself as a legislator. He serves on six committees in the General Assembly, including as chairman of the Information & Audits Committee, which reviews the legislators’ per diem and expense reports.
#“I take my duties and responsibilities very seriously, and I am working hard to help find ways to make government more efficient and responsive, for the citizens of Georgia,” said Davis. “It is a great honor for me to serve the constituents of my district, and I never take my duties and responsibilities for granted.”
#He is also on the Appropriations, Insurance, Transportation, State Planning & Community Affairs, and State Institutions and Property committees.
#“This year, I have reorganized the Audits Committee, by appointing sub committees that mirror that of the Appropriations Sub Committees to more efficiently review the financial statements, forensic audits, and budget and compliance reports by departments, so that we can identify more places for savings for the taxpayers of Georgia,” Davis continued.
#He added that, during 2011, he led a special committee for redistricting of the Atlanta Regional Commission citizen member districts.
#“This redistricting was done prior to, and outside of, our special session this year for redistricting,” said Davis. “During the special session, we were one of the few counties able to pass out all of our local redistricting for both our BOC [Board of Commissioners] and BOE [Board of Education], which I carried for my county.”
#Davis said during this year’s legislative session, he carried a major piece of insurance legislation — the Insurance Delivery Enhancement Act of 2011, also known as HB 167 — which enacts protections and support for small practices (businesses), as well as insured individuals.
#“Additionally,” Davis said, “I co-authored with another representative an education reform bill, HB 186 ... that I worked on for over three years, that among other things, develops career clusters for more career and technical opportunities for our high school students, and will drastically improve moral, and eventually, the graduation rates ...”
#Other state representatives who received sizable payouts this year, the AP reported, were: Minority Leader Stacey Abrams (D-Atlanta), and House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge.)
#State senators listed in the report are: Deputy State Treasurer, Mitch Seabaugh (R-Sharpsburg); Rules Chairman, Don Balfour (R-Snellville); and Transportation Chairman Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga.)

"Woman Is the Nigger of the World" is a song written by John Lennon & Yoko Ono and recorded by John Lennon. It was released as a single on Apple Records in the United States (Apple 1848) and in New Zealand and Japan, but was withdrawn from release in Britain. It peaked at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the lowest charting single released in Lennon's lifetime. It is featured on the album Some Time in New York City.
In a 1972 interview on The Dick Cavett Show, John Lennon stated that Irish revolutionary James Connolly was an inspiration for the song. Lennon quoted Connolly's 'the female is the slave of the slave' in explaining the pro-feminist inspiration behind the song.[3]

What if your friend was killed for a piece of candy, right in front of your eyes?
They have instead proposed holding a presidential election by late next year.

Editor Resigns After Magazine Calls Rihanna The ‘N-Word’
Truth rating: 10

The editor-in-chief of Dutch fashion magazine Jackie has resigned after calling Rihanna “the ultimate [n-word b*tch]” in an article.
Eva Hoeke, who also referred to the pop star’s bottom as “ghetto,” had initially apologized on Facebook, saying her fashion feature “was intended as a joke.”
Now Hoeke acknowledges that trying to clarify her intentions was “not the right solution.”
“Through the course of events, me and the publisher have concluded that because my credibility is now affected, it is better for all parties if I quit my function as editor-in-chief effective immediately,” she says in a statement.
“After putting my heart and soul into Jackie for eight years, I realize that these errors — although not intended maliciously — are enough reason for leaving.”
The too little, too late mea culpa came after Rihanna herself blasted Hoeke for using the racial epithet.
“I hope u can read english, because your magazine is a poor representation of the evolution of human rights!” the singer wrote on Twitter. “I find you disrespectful, and rather desperate!!”
Do you agree with Hoeke’s decision to resign?
While I agree that we have the right to free speech, the magazine was a fashion magazine, not a music magazine. Though the usage of the word may be proper and fitting for the behavior Rihanna has displayed lately, it wasn’t fashionable for the magazine to use it to discuss fashion: I am not really sure what nigger fashion is these days, because not all black people are niggers. Not all black people dress urban, nor do all black people act like niggers.
The word nigger is not specific to black people, and it is only used rarely as a racial slur, as it is indicative of behavior rather than race. I think after Obama’s Presidency, we will permanently replace the n-word with Obama.
Anyways, here is some usage of the word, that you may not have heard of, unless you were a diehard Beatle’s fan:
"Woman Is the Nigger of the World" is a song written by John Lennon & Yoko Ono and recorded by John Lennon. It was released as a single on Apple Records in the United States (Apple 1848) and in New Zealand and Japan, but was withdrawn from release in Britain. It peaked at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the lowest charting single released in Lennon's lifetime. It is featured on the album Some Time in New York City.
[edit]Meaning
The phrase was originally coined by Yoko Ono during a magazine interview in 1969. Lennon was proud that it was the first women's rights song before "I Am Woman".[1] The song describes women's subservience to men and male chauvinism across all cultures. It was banned from radio and BBC airplay because of the word 'nigger'. Many prominent black people, including comedianDick Gregory (whose own autobiography was titled Nigger) spoke out in defence of the song. Another supporter, Congressman Ron Dellums, stated, "If you define 'nigger' as someone whose lifestyle is defined by others, whose opportunities are defined by others, whose role in society is defined by others, the good news is that you don't have to be black to be a nigger in this society. Most of the people in America are niggers."[2]In a 1972 interview on The Dick Cavett Show, John Lennon stated that Irish revolutionary James Connolly was an inspiration for the song. Lennon quoted Connolly's 'the female is the slave of the slave' in explaining the pro-feminist inspiration behind the song.[3]
Woman is the nigger of the world
Yes she is...think about it
Woman is the nigger of the world
Think about it...do something about it
We make her paint her face and dance
If she won't be a slave, we say that she don't love us
If she's real, we say she's trying to be a man
While putting her down, we pretend that she's above us
Woman is the nigger of the world...yes she is
If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with
Woman is the slave of the slaves
Ah, yeah...better scream about it
We make her bear and raise our children
And then we leave her flat for being a fat old mother hen
We tell her home is the only place she should be
Then we complain that she's too unworldly to be our friend
Woman is the nigger of the world...yes she is
If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with
Woman is the slave to the slaves
Yeah...alright...hit it!
We insult her every day on TV
And wonder why she has no guts or confidence
When she's young we kill her will to be free
While telling her not to be so smart we put her down for being so dumb
Woman is the nigger of the world
Yes she is...if you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with
Woman is the slave to the slaves
Yes she is...if you believe me, you better scream about it
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
