WHAT IS “THE 10 YEAR BUDGET PATH”?

Effective 3-1-13 Constitutional Priorities Budget Act of 2013-2023 known as “The 10 year Budget Path” https://docs.google.com/document/d/1C-5dMVwRuug6a1t6CY4XgLCqLC-XsPwFbmgSt49SHJk/edit

The Constitutional Priorities Budget Act requires that Congress stipulate appropriation funding be relegated to constitutional designation by priority order, as a substitute for the failure for the Balanced Budget Amendment to pass in Congress: Defense, Patents and Post Office, Judiciary, and Diplomacy must be funded according to physical revenue accrued by current tax measures. The revenue trend has been $2.5 trillion, and we expect the annual federal budget to remain $2.5 trillion for a 10 year budget path, to offset borrowing for wartime spending and Congressional salary for inflation offsets given by the Bush Tax Cut policy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_tax_cuts that sunset 1/1/13 that lasted 10 years. It will take 10 years to reverse the deficit by budgeting and accounting measures imposed by this Act for restoring a peacetime economy. This upholds current PAYGO statute, and this confers with the Budget Control Act as a working budget.

While Representative Paul Ryan’s Path to Prosperity is an excellent proposal and Republican budget: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qVlWTnSVqBk3PiDAzm6uKs0P8WwslLqhnfkMoiQ0iVA/edit
it is essential government understand that citizens do not want government spending more than is being taken in, and borrowing at a rate of $500 billion every 6 months, putting taxpayers on the hook for over $1 trillion dollars annually for borrowing more than is budgeted for each year.

Every state Governor must refuse federal funds that obligate taxpayers above and beyond these annual budget constraints for the next 10 years, in order to rectify and reconcile the deficit, these appropriation caps must be followed for every continuing resolution budget operation model each six months, in keeping with an appropriations cap of $2.5 trillion in annual operational spending for the next 10 years.

This became law 1/13/13 http://www.facebook.com/teapartychief/timeline/story?ut=32&wstart=1357027200&wend=1359705599&hash=10151300952963670&pagefilter=3&ustart=1

IN KEEPING WITH THE GOALS AS OUTLINED IN THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF THE 2013 BUDGET http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/ondcp/fy2013_drug_control_budget_and_performance_summary.pdf

PAGE 1, the goal to achieve a 15 percent reduction in the rate of drug use and similar
reductions in drug use consequences over the course of five years, can be met but not with conventional medicine: as pharmaceuticals and counseling have limitations in success rates and side effects.  Obamacare remains repealed by the House, so due to judicial activism and federal money being expended to promote corruption at local levels, the Judiciary will be restricted $200 billion for courts/and prison programs.

In accordance to Entitlement Reform, the court will take these things into consideration, regarding inflation, foreclosures, private debts, and banks: meaning that courts are only bound by law to imprison a person charged with a violent crime, they may hold that person without bond for up to a year to prepare for trial, and they must cooperate with the I.R.S. in providing timely reports. Courts may no longer impose a mandatory minimum sentence for drug possession charges or rely on bonds to fund the local courts from drug charges, so except for drug trafficking or gang activity, for a maximum period of 7 years.

COURTS WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS IDENTITY AND MEDICAL FRAUD, AS WELL AS DEFRAUDING OF FEDERAL PROGRAMS AS THEIR PRIMARY FOCUS AFTER VIOLENT CRIME BEING THEIR MAIN FUNCTION, WHICH REQUIRES LOCAL BUDGETS TO SPEND THEIR MONEY ON VIOLENT CRIME AND FEDERAL DOLLARS INVESTIGATING FRAUD AND I.R.S. RELATED MATTERS.

USE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANTS IS BANNED, AND ANY ENTITY PARTICIPATING IN USING THIS PRACTICE WILL BE SUBJECT TO CORRUPTION CHARGES.

#5 DIPLOMACY/CONGRESS $300 BILLION

PAKISTAN FUNDING IS CUT OFF UNTIL WE CAN DETERMINE WHO ASSOCIATES WITH THE FOUR GROUPS ABOVE IN THE PAKISTANI GOVERNMENT, AND NO FUNDING WILL BE RESTORED UNTIL THEY ARE REMOVED FROM PAKISTAN'S GOVERNMENT

NO UNPAID VACATIONS OR EVENTS REQUIRING EXTRA SECURITY AT TAXPAYERS' EXPENSE - TRAVEL IS RESTRICTED TO DOMESTIC TRAVEL, UNLESS IT IS AN EMERGENCY, ALL TRAVEL IS RESTRICTED FOR SECURITY AND BUDGET REASONS

JOHN KERRY WILL LOOK INTO THIS SOON - IRAQ FUNDING MAY BE RE-EXAMINED AS WELL AS AFGHANISTAN, WITH AFGHANISTAN GIVING US MINERAL DEVELOPMENT COMPENSATION TO OFFSET THE COST OF SECURITY/IRAQ LETTING US UPGRADE THEIR INTERNET TO IMPROVE THEIR SECURITY AGAINST THOSE GROUPS LISTED ABOVE

TOTAL $1.25 TRILLION FOR 6 MONTHS
- SUNSET OF BUSH TAX CUTS, WHEREIN NO MONEY MUST BE BORROWED TO MEET $2.5 TRILLION IN ANNUAL SPENDING, BASED ON ANNUAL REVENUE TREND

TO DEAL WITH THE HOUSING BUBBLE AND PREDATORY LENDING ISSUES CLOGGING THE JUDICIARY, WE MAY STILL CONSIDER THIS PLAN, ONLY IF THE CUTS ARE NOT TOO LARGE TO DO IT -- This 2013 revised budget permits $1.6 trillion increase to be borrowed and paid over 10 years by cutting umbrellas 2, 3, 4 $50 billion each
= $150 billion, and by cutting umbrella #5
$10 billion --- $160 billion in annual cuts to control spending and permit such increase to be used to stimulate and reinforce issues extenuating from the 2007 stock market crash and 2008 housing market meltdown
Broken into 2 parts
-- these present the spending caps to get off the Continuing Resolution --
This budget gets us off the Continuing Resolution model, after this initial $1.6 trillion increase, which is extremely important, because the interest is eating away our ability to pay off the deficit.

WE WILL HAVE TO REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT ON A STATE-BY-STATE BASIS: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1L2ZmGM-izViR2QkN_RRhV9lG82z-n7VZcUpetHQi2F0/edit
PER HOUSE AND SENATE MEMBERS WITH POSSIBLE GRANTS APPORTIONED FROM UNUSED EDUCATION OR PATENTS, IN ORDER TO RAISE MORE REVENUE FROM JOB CREATION - EVEN IF NO JOBS WERE CREATED TO GET BACK THE $500 BILLION FROM PAYROLL TAXES, WE CAN OPERATE ON THIS BUDGET WITH SPECIFIED REDUCTIONS, AND ANY INCREASES CAN BE APPLIED TO DEFICIT REDUCTION.

CONGRESS MUST DO TAX REFORM TO CREATE NEW REVENUE AND CREATE CONSISTENCY AND STABILITY IN THE MARKET: 1986 TAX REFORM, PERMIT ESTATE TAX TO RETURN TO PREVIOUS LEVELS, BUT NO MORE EXTENSION OF THE BUSH TAX CUTS BECAUSE THESE ARE NOT PAID FOR: WE MUST PAY CONGRESS AND GO TO A 7-7-7 PLAN OR 20% FLAT TAX TO SPUR BUSINESS AND PAY OFF OUR DEFICIT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX/SALES TAX REVENUE -- IN ESSENCE, TAXES CAN BE CONFIGURED BASED ON ANNUAL WORTH OR ESTATE TAXES, A 21% PORTION OF ANNUAL WORTH OR INCOME, OR WHICHEVER IS GREATER. I DO NOT SEE COUNTING DIVIDENDS AS INCOME, BUT COUNTING FOR THEIR PROFITS AS A MEASURE OF ANNUAL WORTH.

HOW IS THE “10 YEAR BUDGET PATH” APPLIED AND ACHIEVED IN LEGISLATION ??

SO JUST HOW DOES THE GOVERNMENT SPEND YOUR TAX DOLLARS? HERE IS A LEDGER, LINE-BY-LINE OF THE CONTINUING RESOLUTION, JUST PASSED BY THE HOUSE, A BILL THAT IS 269 PAGES LONG, THAT TOOK ME 6 HOURS TO READ AND ADD UP, BY HAND THE MORNING OF THE VOTE FROM 1AM-6AM, THAT THE HOUSE HAS BEEN WORKING ON FOR MONTHS.....

THIS IS MY OWN HANDWRITTEN COPY, CONDENSED FROM 269 PAGES, INTO 7 PAGES, SO YOU CAN SEE FROM THE BILL WHAT THINGS COST AND WHAT TAX DOLLARS ARE BEING SPENT ON:

WASHINGTON – TheTeaParty.net today released the results of an independent poll of Americans showing that by a 2-1 margin citizens prefer the “limited government” of the tea party to the “big government” of the progressives.
The poll showed 48 percent of Americans support tea party principles of “free markets” and “personal responsibility” to only 21-percent support for “higher taxes,” “more spending” and “progressive, liberal principles.”

The organization said the poll was done by independent polling firm NSON Inc. with 500 live responses and a margin of error of 4.38 percent.
Despite the election win by President Obama last fall, the poll indicates an underlying  desire for less government.
Bob Adams, the Capitol Hill representative of TheTeaParty.net, told WND today that the numbers show, “We’re stronger than ever.”
The poll “shows the tea party is still here and still engaged and greater than before,” he said.
He noted the filibuster by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., this week in the U.S. Senate over Obama administration statements the president has the authority to order a lethal drone strike on U.S. residents on American soil. Adams said it was “instructive” of the influence of the tea party that Paul “was able to get [Attorney General Eric Holder] to answer him and cave.”
He viewed the outcome as a part of a greater series of victories scored against the Obama administration over the last three years, all from tea party figures.
Among those, he said was that Obama allowed the Bush tax cuts to be extended.
He said Paul’s filibuster resonated because Americans “across the board saw senators standing up for something meaningful and getting something accomplished.”
“It is more than we have seen in sometime on Capitol Hill,” he said.

John McCain’s “unprivileged enemy belligerent” Amendment Biting Him in the Butt: Paul Pushed Graham to Vote for Brennan

March 8, 2013
By Maggie
inShare

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) lashed out at Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) at least twice yesterday using the “Libertarian” word several times, saying he  was “ridiculous” and his filibuster was a “stunt.” Paul’s filibuster was intended to force an answer from the White House as to their ability to kill Americans on American soil without due process. McCain is the Republican Senator who tried to get the words “unprivileged belligerent” and “including a citizen of the United States,” into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) but failed. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) joined McCain in that unconstitutional effort. See Senator Paul’s comments about John McCain and the NDAA in December 2012 below.

Rand Paul
John McCain
Lindsey Graham

As Paul stood on the Senate floor for 13 hours, McCain and Graham dined with Obama, and the day the filibuster of the confirmation of John Brennan to the CIA ended, Graham said Paul had pushed him to support Brennan. You can’t make this stuff up:
Mr. Graham said he had been inclined to oppose the nomination because he’d found Brennan to be qualified for the job but also “arrogant, kind of a bit shifty.” He said he wasn’t going to filibuster him but would have voted against him on final passage, but now he’ll vote for him. “I am going to vote for Brennan now because it’s become a referendum on the drone program,” he said.
FLASHBACK: Go back to April 2010 when “maverick” Senator John McCain with Lindsey Graham in S. 3081, titled Enemy Belligerent Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010. S. 3081, tried to make it clear that they could and would deny U.S. citizens due process if someone in power deemed it appropriate. S. 3081 failed.
SEC. 5. DETENTION WITHOUT TRIAL OF UNPRIVILEGED ENEMY BELLIGERENTS.
An individual, including a citizen of the United States, determined to be an unprivileged enemy belligerent under section 3(c)(2) in a manner which satisfies Article 5 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War may be detained without criminal charges and without trial for the duration of hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners in which the individual has engaged, or which the individual has purposely and materially supported, consistent with the law of war and any authorization for the use of military force provided by Congress pertaining to such hostilities.
Had the amendment passed, a hell-fire drone might be preferable to indefinite detention (see the video below). The word “belligerent” was found in the 2012 NDAA. Some in the Senate attempted to clarify that Americans could not be apprehended on American soil and be held without due process:
Senate Amendment (SA) 1126 would “clarify” Section 1031 to explicitly state within the section that the authority of the military to detain persons without trial until the end of hostilities does not apply to American citizens. [Update: Voted down 45-55] SA 1125 would limit the mandatory detention provision in Section 1032 to persons captured abroad, not in America. [Update: Voted down, 45-55]
They failed. At the time, retired four star Marine Generals Krulak and Hoar in a NYT op-ed said the NDAA was “misguided” and if passed (which it die) would make “Due process” “a thing of the past.”
“Due process would be a thing of the past,” wrote Gens Charles C. Krulak and Joseph P. Hoar. “Current law empowers the military to detain people caught on the battlefield, but this provision would expand the battlefield to include the United States – and hand Osama bin Laden an unearned victory long after his well-earned demise.” ABC News:
The Fifth Amendment of the U.S Constitution:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Legal minds tried to come to a decision about how much weight “due process” would hold under the NDAA. The conclusion: who knows?
Rand Paul December 19, 2012:
“The decision by the NDAA conference committee, led by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to strip the National Defense Authorization Act of the amendment that protects American citizens against indefinite detention now renders the entire NDAA unconstitutional,” Sen. Paul said. “I voted against NDAA in 2011 because it did not contain the proper constitutional protections. When my Senate colleagues voted to include those protections in the 2012 NDAA through the Feinstein-Lee Amendment last month, I supported this act,” Sen. Paul continued. “But removing those protections now takes us back to square one and does as much violence to the Constitution as last year’s NDAA. When the government can arrest suspects without a warrant, hold them without trial, deny them access to counsel or admission of bail, we have shorn the Bill of Rights of its sanctity. More at The New American
If they can’t kill us in a coffee shop, they perhaps can detain us indefinitely. Why strip language that leaves no doubt?
A federal Judge stepped in and tried to clean up the Acts of Congress. Federal Judge Katherine B. Forrest ruled in favor of activists filing a lawsuit challenging Obama’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), specifically Section 1021, which may allow the Government to detain militarily and indefinitely, without trial, Americans suspected of terrorism, referred to as ‘rendition.’
Then…federal Judge Raymond Lohier granted the Obama administration an “emergency” stay and the possibility of an American version of Hunger Games was on. It is entirely appropriate to remember that the U.S. has played a role around the world in training al-Qaeda members to bring down leaders in Libya and Syria, and are aiding the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt – a faction that believes Jihad is righteous.
Are you a U.S. citizen “belligerent” or are you not? And whether you are not, who decides? Obama ordered a drone-kill of U.S. citizen Anwar al-Awlaki and succeeded. His 16-year-old son, also a U.S. citizen was killed in a separate drone attack. Awlaki operated freely in the U.S. for years. Within 16 days of the 9/11/01 attacks, the FBI knew Awlaki had purchased airline tickets for three 9/11 hijackers in the summer of 2001. What happened next? Awlaki was invited to dine at the Pentagon and conduct a prayer service for Muslim staffer on Capitol Hill.
Al-Awlaki’s invitation to dine at the Pentagon (Fox News through FOIA request):
The documents show that more than 70 people were copied on the invitation, which originated in the Defense Department’s Office of the General Counsel. It is home to the Pentagon’s top lawyer. “I have reserved one of the executive dining rooms for February 5th, which is the date he (Awlaki) preferred,” a defense department lawyer wrote in the e-mail announcing the event. “He (Awlaki) will be leaving for an extensive period of time on February 11th.” The e-mail states that New Mexico born al-Awlaki was the featured guest speaker on “Islam and Middle Eastern Politics and Culture.” The Defense Department lawyer who vetted the imam wrote that she “had the privilege of hearing one of Mr. Awlaki’s presentations in November and was impressed by both the extent of his knowledge and by how he communicated that information and handled a hostile element in the audience.”
Senator Paul’s insistance on answers regarding non-Constitutional treatment of Americans on American soil was important. The answer he received from Eric Holder is laughable, although Paul says he is now satisfied that the Executive branch has assured him, through a letter, with one word:  “no,” they will not kill Americans without due process – but they can and will detain us indefinitely if they deem it appropriate. Might as well be dead. But I agree with Hot Air. There are new mavericks in town and McCain is doing Senator Paul an “incredible favor.”

WASHINGTON – Old guard Senate Republicans are using the term “wacko” to describe new members promoting the tea party call for smaller government and accountability, and a congressional source for WND says it’s a sign of an emerging inter-party clash.
Referring to the fallout from the filibuster this week by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.,  a top Republican aide said there “could not have been a starker contrast in terms of the new reformers of the Senate, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, all fighting the overreach of this executive, versus on the handful of senators having dinner in one of the most expensive hotels in the country.”

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who both criticized Paul for his nearly 13-hour filibuster of the vote on John Brennan for CIA director, were among the Republican leaders who dined with Obama. According to the Huffington Post, McCain referred to tea party Republicans, including Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., as “wacko birds.”
“I don’t think you could get a clearer and starker vision of what one side thinks Washington should be doing versus the other,” the source said.
The energy generated by Paul’s filibuster and the stances taken by Sens. McCain and Graham show why “they don’t have the backing and support of the American people,” the source said.
In the hours after Paul’s filibuster, both McCain and Graham launched deeply critical attacks against Paul, claiming that, fundamentally, the American people have nothing to fear from their government. Paul, Cruz and Lee raised alarm when the Obama administration wouldn’t immediately assure the public it would not kill an American citizen on home soil with a drone.
In the Huffington Post interview, McCain went further in his criticism of tea party lawmakers.
“I think it can be harmful if there is a belief among the American people that those people are reflective of the views of the majority of Republicans,” he said. “They’re not.”
The Senate aide also elaborated on the consequences of the tensions for the 2014 mid-term elections, taking aim at Graham’s reelection plan in South Carolina.
“You might see a lot of momentum in the direction in South Carolina in 2014 to support somebody like Cruz, Paul or Lee rather than Lindsey Graham,” he said.
According to a Public Policy Polling report conducted in 2011, when hypothetically stacked up against tea party favorite Congressman Joe Wilson in a head to head competition, Graham would trail 43-41.
The Senate aide also targeted retiring Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., saying, “We should not scratch Michigan off the map.”
He suggested the tea party has “a couple of very good candidates that could run there.”
Amash’s name appeared in that discussion.
The source added that “the tea party resurgence” in 2010 could easily be duplicated in 2014.
“Despite the fact that the GOP lost in 2012,” he said, there were a number of tea party candidates that gained prominence, including Cruz.
He also said tea party members have a lot to look forward to in 2016 when Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Paul might compete for the presidential nomination.

Late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who died of cancer this week, urged the Shiite Muslims’ 12th Imam, Mahdi, to return to Earth sooner than prophesied, as revealed in a video released by Rajanews, a media outlet of Iran’s ruling Islamic regime.

Shiites believe Mahdi, the last Islamic messiah, will only come back to Earth after a great conflagration engulfs the Middle East, setting the stage for global Armageddon. When Mahdi returns, Shiites believe, Jesus Christ will be at his side. Chavez was a Catholic.
Rajanews praised Chavez as a serious world leader who supported the Palestinian cause despite the absence of some Arab leaders. Chavez said in the video that global enmity “is located in Gaza” and that the fight for Gaza and the Palestinian cause “is beneficial for Venezuela, too.”
Chavez, in a meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian National Authority, talked of his belief in the Coming of Mahdi, according to the video, and said, “The ultimate war of them all is the war in Gaza.”
In the video, which is not dated, but appears to have been captured during a signing of agreements at the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas, Nov. 27, 2009, Chavez told his audience “Quds (Jerusalem) is a holy place for all of us Christians. I spoke with (Iranian President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad about the day that Islam’s Quran says both (Mahdi and Christ) will return. Jesus, holding hands with the 12th Imam, Mahdi. … Then peace will come upon the world. I tell Christ and Mahdi to come sooner, rush now, come sooner … because we witness the threats posed to the world, my God!”
Chavez served as president of Venezuela from 1999 until his death on March 5. He was diagnosed with cancer, undergoing surgery and chemotherapy in Cuba in 2011 and another operation in 2012. Although he had hoped to have recovered from his illness, he announced in December that he needed further cancer surgery in Cuba.
Iranian media on Thursday blamed the United States for Chavez’s death as part of a plot to kill off several Latin American leaders, who also have been stricken with cancer.
Ahmadinejad, who attended Chavez’s memorial service in Caracas Friday, implied in a letter of condolence to the interim president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, that Chavez would return alongside of Jesus.
“I have no doubt that he will return alongside all the righteous and Jesus,” Ahmadinejad wrote, “and the only remainder of the righteous generation, the complete human being, will come and help the nations with the establishment of peace, complete justice, kindness and evolvement.”
Sources in Iran report many Iranians celebrated Chavez’s death and were hopeful, with him gone and with Syrian President Bashar Assad on the verge of collapse, the clerical regime in Iran could be next.

Pakistani men, part of an angry …
LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — Hundreds of people in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore ransacked a Christian neighborhood Saturday and torched dozens of homes after hearing reports that a Christian man had committed blasphemy against Islam's prophet, said a police officer.
Blasphemy is a serious crime in Pakistan that can carry the death penalty but sometimes outraged residents exact their own retribution for perceived insults of Islam's Prophet Muhammad. Pakistan is overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim and people of other faiths, including the nation's small Christian community, are often viewed with suspicion.
The incident started Friday when a young Muslim man accused a Christian man of committing blasphemy by making offensive comments about the prophet, according to Multan Khan, a senior police officer in Lahore.
A large crowd from a nearby mosque went to the Christian man's home on Friday night, and Khan said police took him into custody to try to pacify the crowd. Fearing for their safety, hundreds of Christian families fled the area overnight.
Khan said the mob returned on Saturday and began ransacking Christian homes and setting them ablaze. He said no one in the Christian community was hurt, but several policemen were injured when they were hit with stones as they tried to keep the crowd from storming the area.
But Akram Gill, a local bishop in the Lahore Christian community said the incident had more to do with personal enmity between two men — one Christian and one Muslim — than blasphemy. He said the men got into a brawl after drinking late one night, and in the morning the Muslim man made up the blasphemy story as payback.
He said the Christian community handed over to police the accused man, identified by police and Gill as Sawan Masih, when police came to the neighborhood to investigate. Then the Christians all locked up their houses and went to relatives in other areas. He said the mob Saturday morning was armed with hammers and steel rods and broke into houses, ransacked two churches and burned Bibles and crosses.
"Poor people were living here. They have lost all of their belongings," he said. "Where can they go now?"
The scene was chaotic. An Associated Press photographer said roughly 50 homes and a small church were set on fire. One man was seen carrying a dog and some puppies from a burning house. Refrigerators, washing and sewing machines, cooking pots, beds and other household goods were ripped from homes, smashed and torched in the streets.
One Christian couple from the neighborhood said they went to their Muslim neighbors' house on Friday night after people came looking for the Christian man accused of blasphemy. Ishaq Masih said the Muslim neighbors sheltered the couple for the night and then gave them money to leave the area in the morning.
Such accusations of blasphemy in Pakistan can prompt huge crowds to take the law into their own hands. Once an accusation is made it's extremely difficult to get it reversed, partly because law enforcement officials do not want to be seen as being soft on blasphemers.
Speaking out against the blasphemy laws can put people in danger. Two prominent politicians were assassinated in 2011 for urging reform of the law. The killer of one of the politicians was hailed as a hero, and lawyers at his legal appearances showered him with rose petals.
According to Human Rights Watch, there are at least 16 people on death row for blasphemy and another 20 are serving life sentences.
Last year there was a rare reversal of a blasphemy case. A teenage Christian girl with suspected mental disabilities was accused of burning pages of the Quran. But she was later released after a huge domestic and international outcry about her treatment. A local cleric where she lived was arrested and accused of planting the pages in her bag to incriminate her, a rare example of the accuser facing legal consequences. However, he was later freed on bail.
While Muslims are frequently accused of blasphemy, members of Pakistan's small Christian community are especially vulnerable to the accusations, said the head of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Zora Yusuf. Only in Christian cases will violent mobs punish the entire community for the perceived crime of one Christian.
She said often these blasphemy cases are personal grudges or disputes masquerading as religious fervor.
"Most of the time there are other motives involved," she said, such as scaring off Christian residents to grab their property.
Also on Saturday, four people were killed and 25 were wounded when a bomb exploded inside a mosque of the Sunni Barelvi sect in the northwestern city of Peshawar. The bomb was planted in a bookshelf inside the mosque and was detonated by remote control when noon prayers started, said senior police officer Imtiaz Khan.
Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has been the site of several terrorist attacks in recent months. The city is surrounded by lawless tribal regions where al-Qaeda and Pakistani Taliban have hideouts.
The Pakistani military has carried out several operations in the area, but intermittent terrorist attacks continue.

Residents gather at the site of a car bomb explosion in Sadr City, northeastern Baghdad February 17, 2013. A series of car bombs exploded in mainly Shi'ite neighbourhoods across the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday, killing at least 20 people and wounding dozens, police and hospital sources said.

February was a bloody month for Iraq. A wave of bombings directed at Iraqi Shi‘ites killed 200 and wounded more than 550. The attacks come against the backdrop of political stalemate and increasingly violent protests which many journalists and diplomats date to the arrest of (former Deputy Prime Minister) Rafi al-Issawi’s bodyguards on terrorism charges.
Rather than blame the terrorists, too many American and regional figures blame the Iraqi government. Writing in Commentary Magazine, for example, one civilian advisor to General David Petraeus’ inner circle wrote, “the situation is now becoming volatile because of the vendetta that Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is pursuing against senior Sunni politicians.”  And in The Washington Post on February 8, two other military analysts placed blame solely on Iraq’s prime minister. Such aspersions are unjust, unfair, and unwise.
It is ironic that when it comes to the schism between Sunnis and Shi‘ites, the United States has become as sectarian as Saudi Arabia or Turkey. America’s sectarian approach to the Middle East, however, is bad for both the region and bad for the United States.
There are numerous reasons for America’s slide into Islamic sectarianism.  First and foremost is the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.  Prior to the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran, American and Iranian universities had regular partnerships and exchanges. Bell Helicopters had a factory in Isfahan. Ordinary Americans thought of Shi‘ites as friends and neighbors, not as hostage-takers or terrorists. That all changed with the Islamic Revolution. A 50-year-old American official today would have been 16 years old when Iranian revolutionaries seized the American embassy. Most every general, colonel, diplomat or cabinet secretary grew up with Iranian revolutionaries taunting the United States. Few American government officials remember the days when the United States and Iran were close allies.
The American experience in Lebanon was also formative. When a Hezbollah operative rammed his explosive-laden truck into the U.S. Marine Barracks in 1983, the movement might have achieved its immediate goal to drive American, French, and Italian peacekeepers out of Beirut. But that attack, and subsequent hostage-takings cemented in the American mind the idea that Shi‘ites were radical, anti-American, and out-for-blood.
Saudi, Turkish, and Jordanian diplomats and generals are happy to reinforce this prejudice. Within U.S. Central Command, American military officers interact only with Sunni generals. Majority Shi‘ite Azerbaijan falls outside the boundaries of their bureaucratic structure and while the United States military does have a large presence in Bahrain, Bahraini authorities do not allow Shi‘ites to serve as senior police officials or as military officers. When generals and ambassadors have meetings, throughout the region, their interlocutors criticize the Iraqi government, not because of the serious problems it confronts but rather because it has empowered Iraq’s Shi‘ite majority for the first time.  To this day, Arab diplomats and military officers from across the Middle East privately recommend that Iraq erase the legacy of its constitution and elected government and instead impose a strong Sunni general to lead the country. Kings in Riyadh and Amman may have liked Saddam, but Iraq should never return to the era of squandered wealth and mass graves.
Also driving America’s sectarian bias are many of its own Islamic organizations. Up to one-quarter of American Muslims are Shi‘ite, migrating originally from Iran, India, and Pakistan, or Ismaili areas in Central Asia.  Their voice is overshadowed by fiercely sectarian organizations like the Council on American Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America who, with millions of dollars in funding from Saudi Arabia and Qatar advocate less for Islam and more for the Muslim Brotherhood and its sectarian causes.
Make no mistake: Criticism of the American approach to Shi‘ite Islam does not mean either the Islamic Republic of Iran or Hezbollah are democratic.  The Iranian people struggle for true representation and largely wish they had the same religious freedom in Qom as Iraqis enjoy in Najaf. And, as far as most Lebanese are concerned, Hezbollah today acts more as a business mafia than as a nationalist or “resistance” organization. Still, democratic tendencies are deeply engrained in traditional Shi‘ism, in which individuals choose their own marja at-taqlid and where religious authorities encourage debate and tolerate divergence of opinion. An ordinary Muslim is much freer to question religious authority emanating from Najaf and Karbala than from Al-Azhar or Riyadh. The embrace of individual thought spreads readily from the religious sphere into Shi‘ite political culture. Iranian authorities worry about Iraqi nationalism and the free expression of Iraqi Shi‘ites precisely because the Iranian system of velayat-e faqih cannot tolerate the freedom and individualism which Iraqis have embraced. They sponsor militias to impose through force of arms what is not in the hearts and minds of Iraqi Shi‘ites.
For any American official to blame Prime Minister Maliki for the current violence is not only wrong, but encourages further terrorism. Criticism of arrest warrants for (former Vice President) Tariq al-Hashemi or Rafi Issawi’s guards ignores not only the fact that many of the judges signing off on the warrants and the original plaintiffs were Sunni, but also the fact that the Iraqi government has also moved to arrest Shi‘ite terrorists belonging to groups like Jaysh al-Mukhtar. No Iraqi should tolerate a situation in which politicians threaten violence and terrorism unless the government accepts their demands: That is not a political process, but blackmail, corrosive to both democracy and freedom. Video footage from Friday sermons which embrace Al Qaeda and terrorism not only in Iraq but also in Europe and against Americans suggest that the goal of the protests in Al Anbar is not Iraqi democracy, but an extreme, radical, and anti-democratic agenda.
Iraq is not a perfect democracy. Authorities in Baghdad must do more to reform, punish sectarian discrimination, and eliminate corruption. Iraq must hold free, fair, and transparent elections not only in Baghdad and Basra, but also in Sulaymani and Erbil. But, the most counterproductive thing the elected Iraqi government or any Iraqi who believes in democracy should do is to compromise in the face of terror.
It is ironic that American officials would be so willing to accept the propaganda put forth by regional states supporting such terrorism or, against the backdrop of repeated terrorist attacks in and around Baghdad, blame the victims rather than the perpetrators.

AFGHAN BOMBERS STRIKE DURING US OFFICIAL'S VISIT

By KIMBERLY DOZIER and RAHIM FAIEZ
— Mar. 9 10:32 AM EST

Taliban disavow attacks, as Hagel makes his way to Karzai. It is unclear who is undermining Taliban peace talks, some giving cryptic messages and others involved in insider attacks. Afghan security is still investigating these matters, and Karzai believes a foreign group of Pakistani Taliban is behind the undercurrent of violence against children and women. Karzai vehemently condemned the attacks as un-Islamic, a stinging rebuke to those who purport to justify such violence in the name of Islam.

"The perpetrators of such attacks are cowards who are killing innocent children at the orders of foreigners," he said in a statement emailed to reporters. Karzai usually uses the term "foreigners" to refer to Pakistan, which he blames for failing to crack down on Taliban militants who take sanctuary there.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Militants staged two suicide attacks that killed at least 19 people on Saturday, the first full day of U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel's visit to Afghanistan. They were a fresh reminder of the challenges posed by insurgents to the U.S.-led NATO force as it hands over the country's security to the Afghans.
"This attack was a message to him," Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said of Hagel, in an email to reporters about the bombing outside the country's Defense Ministry in Kabul.
Hagel was nowhere near that attack, but heard it across the city. He told reporters traveling with him that he wasn't sure what it was when he heard the explosion.
"We're in a war zone. I've been in war, so shouldn't be surprised when a bomb goes off or there's an explosion," said Hagel, a Vietnam War veteran. Asked what his message to the Taliban would be, he said that the U.S. was going to continue to work with its allies to insure that the Afghan people have the ability to develop their own country and democracy.
In the first attack, a suicide bomber on a bicycle struck outside the Afghan Defense Ministry early Saturday morning, just as employees were arriving for work. About a half hour later, another suicide bomber hit a joint NATO and Afghan patrol near a police checkpoint in Khost city, the capital of Khost province in eastern Afghanistan, said provincial spokesman Baryalai Wakman.
Nine Afghan civilians were killed in the bombing at the ministry and 14 wounded, and two Afghan policemen and eight children died in the blast in Khost while another two Afghan civilians were wounded, according to a statement from President Hamid Karzai's office.
Karzai condemned the bombings, calling them un-Islamic.
Hagel's first visit to Kabul as Pentagon chief comes as the U.S. and Afghanistan grapple with a number of disputes, from the aborted handover of a main detention facility — canceled at the last moment late Friday as a deal for the transfer broke down — to Afghan President Hamid Karzai's demand that U.S. special operations forces withdraw from Wardak province just outside Kabul over allegations of abuse.
The prison transfer, originally slated for 2009, has been repeatedly delayed because of disputes between the U.S. and Afghan governments about whether all detainees should have the right to a trial and who will have the ultimate authority over the release of prisoners the U.S. considers a threat.
The Afghan government has maintained that it needs full control over which prisoners are released as a matter of national sovereignty. The issue has threatened to undermine ongoing negotiations for a bilateral security agreement that would govern the presence of U.S. forces in Afghanistan after the current combat mission ends in 2014.
U.S. military officials said Saturday's transfer ceremony was canceled because they could not finalize the agreement with the Afghans, but did not provide details. Afghan officials were less forthcoming.
"The ceremony is not happening today," Defense Ministry spokesman Gen. Mohammad Zahir Azimi said, without elaborating.
Regarding Wardak, Karzai set a deadline for Monday for the pullout of the U.S. commandos, over allegations that joint U.S. and Afghan patrols engaged in a pattern of torture, kidnappings and summary executions.
"Each of those accusations has been answered and we're not involved," said Brigadier Adam Findlay, NATO's deputy chief of staff of operations, in an interview with The Associated Press Saturday. "There are obviously atrocities occurring there, but it's not linked to us, and the kind of atrocities we are seeing, fingers cut off, other mutilations to bodies, is just not the way we work."
Findlay said NATO officials have made provisional plans to withdraw special operations forces, if Karzai sticks to his edict after meetings this weekend with Hagel and top military commander in Afghanistan Gen. Joseph Dunford.
"What we've got to try to do is go to a middle ground that meets the president's frustration," but also keeps insurgents from using Wardak as a staging ground to launch attacks on the capital, Findlay said. "That plan would be that you would put in your more conventional forces into Wardak," to replace the special operators and maintain security, he said.
NATO officials see the weekend violence as part of the Taliban's coming campaign for the spring fighting season. "There's a series of attacks that have started as the snow is thawing. We had a potential insider attack yesterday ... and there's been a number of attacks on the border," Findlay explained.
The suspected insider attack occurred in Kapisa province in eastern Afghanistan several hours before Hagel arrived Friday. Three men presumed to be Afghan soldiers forced their way onto a U.S. base and opened fire, killing one U.S. civilian contractor and wounding four U.S. soldiers, according to a senior U.S. military official.
The official said investigators were "95 percent certain it was an insider attack," because the three men came from the Afghan side of the joint U.S.-Afghan base, and rammed an Afghan army Humvee through a checkpoint dividing the base, before jumping out and opening fire on the Americans with automatic weapons. All three attackers were killed.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.
The Taliban said it was not behind the Tagab base attack, and has not yet weighed in on the attack in Khost, but the group claimed responsibility for the morning attack at the ministry shortly after it happened.
Pentagon spokesman George Little said Hagel was in a briefing at a U.S.-led military coalition facility in another part of the city when the explosion occurred. He said the briefing continued without interruption.
Azimi, the defense ministry spokesman, said the bomber on a bicycle struck just before 9 a.m. local time about 30 meters (yards) from the main gate of the ministry.
A man at the scene, Abdul Ghafoor, said the blast rocked the entire area.
"I saw dead bodies and wounded victims lying everywhere," Ghafoor told the Associated Press. "Then random shooting started and we escaped from the area."
The ministry said at least nine civilians were killed and others were wounded.
Reporters traveling with Hagel were in a briefing when they heard the explosion. They were moved to a lower floor of the same building as U.S. facilities in downtown Kabul were locked down as a security precaution.

QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistan's minority Shiite Muslims have started using the word "genocide" to describe a violent spike in attacks against them by a militant Sunni group with suspected links to the country's security agencies and a mainstream political party that governs the largest province.
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, a group of radical Sunni Muslims, who revile Shiites as heretics, has claimed responsibility for dozens of attacks throughout Pakistan. Linked to al-Qaida, it has been declared a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S., yet it operates with relative ease in Pakistan's populous Punjab province, where Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and several other violent jihadi groups are based.
The violence against Shiites has ignited a national debate — and political arguments — about a burgeoning militancy in Pakistan. The latest attack was a massive bombing earlier this month that ripped apart a Shiite neighborhood in Pakistan's largest city of Karachi, killing 48 people, many of them as they left a mosque after saying their evening prayers. So far this year nearly 300 Shiites have been killed in devastating bombings, target killings and executions.
The unrelenting attacks also have focused the nation's attention on freedoms that Pakistani politicians give extremists groups, staggering corruption within the police and prison systems and the murky and protracted relationship between militant groups and Pakistan's military and intelligence agencies.
"The government doesn't have the will to go after them and the security agencies are littered with sympathizers who give them space to operate," Hazara Democratic Party chief Abdul Khaliq Hazara, told The Associated Press in a recent interview in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan where some of the most ferocious anti-Shiite attacks have occurred.
He labeled the killings as the "genocide of Hazaras," whom are mostly Shiites and easily identified by their Central Asian facial features.
"I have a firm belief that our security agencies have not yet decided to end all extremists groups," said Hazara. "They still want those (militants) that they think they can control and will need either in India or Afghanistan," he said referring to allegations that Pakistan uses militants as proxies against hostile India to the east and Afghanistan to the west.
The army has a history of supporting militant Islamists using them as proxies to fight in Kashmir, a region divided between Pakistan and India and claimed by both in its entirety. It is repeatedly criticized by the United States and Afghanistan for not doing enough to deny Afghan insurgents sanctuary in the tribal regions that border Afghanistan. Angry at the criticism, Pakistani army officials say they have lost more than 4,000 soldiers — more than NATO and the U.S. combined — fighting militants.
Yet, police officials in Baluchistan and the capital, Islamabad, told the AP that Pakistan's intelligence agency had ordered them to release militant leaders who had been arrested. The militants were not necessarily affiliated with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, said the officials, who asked not to be identified because they feared losing their jobs.
Even the judiciary has queried Pakistan's security agencies for information about their alleged ties to militants.
The Supreme Court previously ordered the intelligence agencies and the paramilitary Frontier Corp, which was given sweeping powers to track and arrest militants in Quetta, to explain accusations of their involvement in anti-Shiite attacks. The intelligence agency was told by the court to identify unregistered weapons and vehicles some of which were alleged to have been involved in suicide attacks targeting Shiites.
Still in Pakistan's most populous province of Punjab where 60 percent of the country's 180 million people live, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and other militant groups move largely unrestricted.
In 2010, Punjab's Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif issued a surprising appeal to the Taliban, asking them to stop attacks in Punjab province because his government — just like the militants — opposed the dictates of the West. In a recent interview with the AP, Ahsan Iqbal, the deputy secretary general of Sharif's conservative Pakistan Muslim League, clarified his boss's comments.
"What we were saying to the Taliban at the time was 'if you are fighting the Pakistan government because they are stooges of the U.S. ... if that is your logic then why are you attacking in the Punjab because we are not stooges of the United States," he said.
The dramatic increase in sectarian violence also has spawned fierce political debate in Parliament with rivals firing volleys of accusations and counter accusations.
The ruling, liberal-leaning Pakistan People's Party has accused its conservative rival, the Pakistan Muslim League, which governs Punjab province, of patronizing radical Sunni groups, including Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. In response, Punjab parliamentarians have shot back, charging the Pakistani federal government with inaction and ineptness for failing to establish a coordinated, nationwide anti-terrorist campaign during its five years at the helm.
Iqbal says his Pakistan Muslim League has "zero tolerance" for extremists yet its provincial Law Minister last year campaigned alongside the leader of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi's parent organization, Sipah-e-Sahabah Pakistan, which is outlawed in Pakistan.
"It is political expediency in the Punjab that they think they need the support from the SSP in some parts for votes," said Hazara. "But the policies of these extremists will destroy political parties in Pakistan. It will destroy Pakistan."
Today, the SSP operates in Pakistan's Punjab province under a new name, Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat. It runs scores of religious schools unencumbered by government restrictions. The schools churn out students, who graduate with a loathing of Shiite Muslims, a willingness to be foot soldiers for other Sunni militant groups and ambitions of making Pakistan a radical Sunni state.
Both organizations also have links to Afghanistan's Taliban and in 2011 Lashkar-e-Jhangvi carried out an attack in Afghanistan, killing nearly 70 Shiites in a series of coordinated strikes in three Afghan cities. The attacks raised concern that insurgents wanted to further destabilize Afghanistan by adding a new and deadly sectarian flavor to the conflict already being waged between insurgents and Afghan and foreign forces.
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi operated militant training camps in Afghanistan during the Taliban's rule that ended in 2001, said Waliullah Rahmani, an ethnic Hazara and executive director of the Kabul Center for Strategic Studies, a private think tank in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Still, Rahmani said the Afghan Taliban have not promoted sectarian violence, which might explain why there have been no other anti-Shiite attacks, Rahmani said Thursday in an interview.
Zahid Hussain, whose books plot the rise of militancy in Pakistan, linked the latest round of sectarian carnage in Baluchistan to lashkars, or tribal militias, established with the support of Pakistan's intelligence agencies to crush a burgeoning secessionist movement.
The militias, Hussain said, draw heavily from local religious schools or madrassas, which are heavily financed by donations from Gulf and Arab countries and are run by hard-line clerics with close ties to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
"That provides a deadly and unholy nexus (between) forces fighting the Baluch separatists and those waging war against the Shia community," Hussain wrote in a recent column. It also implicates Pakistan's intelligence agencies, even if indirectly, in the carnage — an allegation they deny.
In a column assailing the Punjab government's "dangerous liaisons" with militants in its province, Hussain said: "Pity the nation where the blood of innocents comes cheap and murderers live under state patronage."

WHEN SUPPORTING THE INITIAL LEGISLATION FOR THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE, TENTATIVE APPROVAL WAS GIVEN TO ADVANCE THE HOUSE BILL, WITH THE DESIRE FOR THE PROJECT TO APPORTION ENVIRONMENTAL SAFEGUARDS.... LIKE THE BUFFALO PRESERVE!
Now is the Time to Build the Keystone XL Pipeline

Washington, D.C., Mar 8 - After four and a half years of applications, extensive environmental studies, and hearings by the Administration, the proposed Keystone XL pipeline is still waiting for President Obama’s approval. With energy costs on the rise and American families continuing to feel the pain at the pump, it’s past time for President Obama to approve the Keystone pipeline.
Most recently, the pipeline, which would transfer North American oil from Canada through six states and to the Gulf Coast, received yet another green light from the government. The U.S. State Department’s review found that the project would have no significant impact on the environment.
It will, however, create 20,000 new shovel-ready American jobs and spur economic growth. It will also reduce our nation’s dependence on sources of energy from foreign countries that quite frankly don’t like us very much. Most importantly, it won’t cost hardworking taxpayers a dime and will create additional tax revenue.
It’s been over 1,630 days since the project’s application was first submitted. Since then, Keystone XL has become one of the most closely examined infrastructure projects in our nation’s history. It continues to pass hurdles, despite President Obama’s continued attempts to block the pipeline for over four years.
Regardless if Keystone is built here, Canada will continue to move forward and put the economic well-being of its people first by producing and selling its natural resources to customers overseas. The question is, does President Obama want to pass up this opportunity to create new American jobs and lower energy costs for hardworking, middle-class families? Or does he want America to continue to stand still, while this North American energy flows west to China?
The fact is, the White House is running out of excuses for continuing to delay approval of a $5.3 billion private investment that has received strong bipartisan support in Congress and has the support of 70 percent of Americans.
It’s time to get serious about America’s energy security and our national security. It’s in our best interest to get this project off the ground without further delay. Mr. President, now is the time to approve the Keystone XL pipeline.

SPEAKING OF DICTATORS:

North Korea vows nuclear attack on US, saying Washington will be 'engulfed in a sea of fire'

Published March 07, 2013
FoxNews.com
North Korea amplified its threatening rhetoric as the U.N. Security Council approved new sweeping sanctions, vowing to launch a first-strike nuclear attack against the United States and threatening to engulf Washington in a "sea of fire."
An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry said the North will exercise its right for "a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors" because Washington is pushing to start a nuclear war against the North.
At a mass rally in Pyongyang on Thursday, Army Gen. Kang Pyo Yong told the crowd that North Korea is ready to fire long-range nuclear-armed missiles at Washington.
"Intercontinental ballistic missiles and various other missiles, which have already set their striking targets, are now armed with lighter, smaller and diversified nuclear warheads and are placed on a standby status," Kang said. "When we shell (the missiles), Washington, which is the stronghold of evils, .... will be engulfed in a sea of fire."
White House spokesman Jay Carney said at a briefing that the U.S. is fully capable of defending itself after a North Korean missile attack.
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice reacted to the warnings Thursday, saying North Korea will "achieve nothing" with threats.
"North Korea will achieve nothing by continued threats and provocations. These will only further isolate the country and its people and undermine international efforts to promote peace and stability in northeast Asia," Rice said.
The U.N. Security Council unanimously endorsed a fourth round of sanctions against Pyongyang in a fresh attempt to rein in its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
The vote Thursday by the U.N.'s most powerful body on a resolution drafted by North Korea's closest ally, China, and the United States sends a powerful message to North Korea that the international community condemns its ballistic missile and nuclear tests -- and its repeated violation of Security Council resolutions.
The new sanctions are aimed at making it more difficult for North Korea to finance and obtain material for its weapons programs.
North Korean threats have become more common as tensions have escalated following a rocket launch by Pyongyang in December and its third nuclear test on Feb. 12. Both acts defied three Security Council resolutions that bar North Korea from testing or using nuclear or ballistic missile technology and from importing or exporting material for these programs.
North Korea accused the U.S. of leading efforts to slap sanctions on North Korea. The statement said the new sanctions would only advance the timing for North Korea to fulfill previous vows to take "powerful second and third countermeasures" against its enemies.
The statement said North Korea "strongly warns the U.N. Security Council not to make another big blunder like the one in the past when it earned the inveterate grudge of the Korean nation by acting as a war servant for the U.S. in 1950."
North Korea demanded the U.N. Security Council immediately dismantle the American-led U.N. Command that's based in Seoul and move to end the state of war that exists on the Korean Peninsula, which continues six decades after fighting stopped because an armistice, not a peace treaty, ended the war.
In anticipation of the resolution's adoption, North Korea earlier in the week threatened to cancel the 1953 cease-fire that ended the Korean War.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

'LIMBAUGH THEOREM' EXPLAINS OBAMA'S BEHAVIOR

Exclusive: Kathy Shaidle recaps week's hottest discussions on air

Rush Limbaugh
Some call it the “Limbaugh Theorem:” That Obama’s popularity lies in his remaining in campaign mode, instead of getting down to the business of governance.

This notion gains more traction every day, but Rush doesn’t care if he gets credit for the concept.
“Basically I got people e-mailing me saying, ‘Everybody’s using that now, but nobody’s mentioning your name,’” Limbaugh told his audience, adding, “I’m not about getting credit. … All I care about is that you people in the audience know the truth about things, and whether anybody else does, that’s for events to flow of their own inertia, history to take care of. Being right is its own validation” (FREE audio).
Michael Savage
“CNN was covering [Hugo Chavez's] death today,” Savage noted, “and the moment there was any voice telling us about the murder rate in Venezuela, Wolf Blitzer immediately cut to a story about the weather.”
Michael Savage set his listeners straight about the socialist “paradise” strongman Chavez left behind and mocked the beloved liberal theory that “poverty causes crime” (FREE audio).
“There were 19,363 murders there last year,” Savage informed listeners. “Under Hugo Chavez, Venezuela became one of the Western Hemisphere’s most violent countries. Why, if he was such a populist and he did so much for the poor, were there so many murders in his country?”
This week, the TSA finally lifted its ban on certain knives, blades and other potential weapons, and Dr. Savage wasn’t happy about it. In fact, he wondered if the government wasn’t trying to instigate another terrorist act, in order to impose even more regulations on law-abiding citizens (FREE audio).
Mark Levin
Levin was delighted to hear that one of his talk radio rivals, Michael Smerconish, is leaving terrestrial broadcasting for satellite.
“Smerconish tried being a conservative, tried being a liberal and was never any good,” Levin told his Facebook readers. “How about being interesting, entertaining and substantive, you loser?”
While its true that the liberal media continues to give Obama and his minions a free pass, Levin also called out the “so-called conservative media” for not “going after the GOP” when they lie or fail (FREE audio).
Aaron Klein
The most talked-about senator of the week, Kentucky’s Rand Paul, talked to Klein about his historic 13-hour filibuster on drone strikes and to debate the issue with Aaron.
Klein also revealed new information about Minnesota’s Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison’s past as a spokesman for the Nation of Islam, about who really paid Barack Obama’s Harvard tuition and how America is secretly aiding Syrian terrorists. Plus, listeners met the radical professor who is pushing the White House’s “living wage” laws (FREE audio).
Laura Ingraham
Rumors are flying that Jeb Bush is considering a 2016 run for president. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich told Ingraham he didn’t think that was a good idea. Bush’s run would invite nothing but “re-litigation of the 8 years of his brother’s presidency.” Gingrich also criticized Bush’s “flip-flop” on amnesty.
Is the Hispanic vote really that important? Byron York of the Washington Examiner isn’t convinced.
“In Wisconsin,” he noted, “Romney would have lost if he got 100 percent of the Hispanic vote. In Ohio, if he got 78 percent, he would still not have won. In Virginia, if he got 65 percent of the Hispanic vote, he still could not carry the state. Obviously the Hispanic vote is important in some parts of the country, but in other parts it simply is not important” (FREE audio).
Glenn Beck
Never one to shy away from melodrama, this week Glenn Beck mourned the death of “Lady Liberty,” as he fell to the floor of his studio trying to give “CPR” to an American flag.
“[America] is down on the ground right now, she’s gurgling, we’ve got our hand on the wound,” he said. “When it gets to that part of the movie, that person usually dies. In our case, Lady Liberty in critical condition. But it doesn’t have to end that way” (FREE video).
“America certainly is dead,” Beck added. “Which means I’ve lost faith in my government. I’ve lost faith in the media, in banking, the justice system, some of our big city police departments. I think I just didn’t have faith in the DMV 15 years ago. Now I question everything. I don’t have faith in any of it.”

Allen West "The last time I checked, we live in a constitutional republic with a representative democracy to elect our officials. In a republic, the people are served and, as President Abraham Lincoln stated at Gettysburg, “the government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth.”

That means the White House belongs to the American people, not the person who at any given time, by way of election, has the privilege to live there with our consent. The White House and the Capitol are not Versailles, and this is not a monarchy."

John Brennan took the oath of office to become CIA director on Friday and swore not on a bible, but on an early draft of the Constitution.
The 1787 document has handwritten notes and a signature by George Washington, principal deputy White House press secretary Josh Earnest said during a briefing Friday.
Brennan “wanted to reaffirm his commitment to the rule of law as he took the oath of office,” Earnest said.
Vice President Joe Biden administered the oath at 10 a.m. in the Oval Office, and the White House released the photo shortly after 1 p.m.
As has been noted elsewhere, this copy of the Constitution doesn't include the Bill of Rights, which wasn't ratified until 1791.

Flight Attendants Fight TSA Changes Policy To Allow Knives

12The Transportation Security Administration’s decision to allow small pocket knives back into aircraft cabins are being met with outrage by groups representing Federal air Marshals and flight attendants. TSA head John Pistole said that the changes will take effect on April 25 and is designed to bring the United States into alignment with international rules.

According to CNN,
Small pocket knives and an array of sporting equipment — banned from aircraft cabins in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks — will once again be allowed in U.S. planes, the head of the Transportation Security Administration said Tuesday.
Knives with blades that are 2.36 inches (6 centimeters) or shorter and less than a 1/2 inch wide will be permitted on U.S. airline flights as long as the blade is not fixed or does not lock into place. Razor blades and box cutters are still not permitted.
Two golf clubs, toy bats or other sports sticks — such as ski poles, hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks or pool cues — will also be allowed in carry-on luggage.
A union the represents 90,000 flight attendants said that the measure is “a poor and short-sighted decision by the TSA.”
“Continued prohibition of these items is an integral layer in making our aviation system secure and must remain in place,” according to a statement by the Coalition of Flight Attendant Unions.
It’s as if we didn’t learn anything from 9/11,” said George Randall Taylor, head of the air marshal unit of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA). “Flight attendants are going to be sitting ducks.”
Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) President Jon Adler said, “Pistole’s decision is putting my guys at greater risk. It’s not just the (Federal Air Marshal Service), it’s all of my guys.” He also noted that law enforcement officers are allowed to carry weapons during commercial flights.
Mike M. Ahlers writes, “The new rule will allow screeners to focus on finding explosive device components and other things that can be ‘catastrophic’ to a plane, speed trips through security checkpoints and ‘address the hassle factor,’ Pistole said.”
While many focus on what the public has been told about the alleged 9/11 hijackers having pocket knives and box cutters, the reality is now anyone can be armed with a knife. I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. Just remember to carry your knife on board when you go. By the way, that should include flight attendants as well. Air marshals and law enforcement can already carry their firearms when they are on board. There really should not be a problem with this.
The real issue is that people have gotten comfortable with having government protect them from everything and they don’t want to let go of that. This is what the unions are complaining about. After all, for decades these items had been allowed on planes with virtually no incident.
In addition, I don’t fully understand why this has to be based upon international rules, seeing that we are to be a sovereign nation. That part is more concerning to me than people taking a pocket knife on a plane.

Girl Scouts: "We Partner With Planned Parenthood Organizations"
by Paul Nowak
LifeNews.com Staff Writer
March 9, 2004Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — Pro-life advocates thought the battle was over when the Texas Bluebonnet Council of the Girl Scouts severed ties with Planned Parenthood, ending a decade of support for the abortion business’ programs for youth and clergy.
That changed when Kathy Cloninger, CEO of the Girl Scouts of America, appeared on NBC’s "Today" show Friday morning to discuss the boycott.
"The Girl Scouts in Waco, Texas, really made a decision based on local community context, they decided that in this particular situation that it would be in the best interest of girls and their families to discontinue the relationship with Planned Parenthood," said Cloninger.
Cloninger explained that Girl Scouts of America addresses the challenges girls face in today’s world, including issues regarding sexuality and body image.
"We partner with many organizations. We have relationships with our church communities, with YWCAs, and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country, to bring information-based sex education programs to girls," added Cloninger.
The frank admission of the national Girl Scouting organization’s CEO regarding relationships with the nation’s largest abortion business and its affiliates stunned John Pisciotta of Pro-Life Waco, who had called for the Waco-area boycott by running spots on a local Christian radio station.
"I had thought that Girl Scouts was backing away from Planned Parenthood nationwide. I was totally wrong," said Pisciotta, who was also interviewed on the Today Show segment. "Kathy Cloninger made it crystal clear that the split only applies to the Bluebonnet Council of Texas. Other councils in Texas and across the nation are free to partner with their Planned Parenthood affiliates."
"I thought our challenge to the Girl Scout entanglement with Planned Parenthood was coming to a close," added Pisciotta. "The reality is that the challenge has only begun."
"Parents have every right to be troubled by an alliance of the Girl Scouts and an organization like Planned Parenthood," said Family Research Council Vice President for Communications Genevieve Wood. "They may see themselves as a `health organization,’ but parents know exactly what Planned Parenthood is, and no amount of spin will change that."
Wood added that parents across the country should look into whether or not their local Girl Scouting organizations are supporting Planned Parenthood events as the Bluebonnet Council in Waco had.
Less than three weeks after Pisciotta called for a boycott of the annual Girl Scout cookie sale, the board of directors of the Waco area council voted to end their partnership with Planned Parenthood of Central Texas, and issued a statement late February. The decision came almost a month earlier than expected, as Council Director Beth Vivio said previously that the council would take up the issue at their meeting on March 25.
"Girl Scouts does not provide support to Planned Parenthood, nor do we have any national collaboration or relationship with that organization," read the statement issued from the group’s board of directors. "We believe issues related to human sexuality and reproductive health are best left to families to discuss with their daughters.
"While the Girl Scouts – Bluebonnet Council has sponsored Planned Parenthood’s ‘Nobody’s Fool’ teen and pre-teen education event in the past, we will not be doing so this year, nor will we be sponsoring similar entities such as the Waco 3R Coalition," the statement concludes.
Pisciotta, an economics professor at Baylor University, said the boycott alone did not provide the pressure to end the relationship.
"The pressure came when local, web, and national news outlets picked up the story," Pisciotta told LifeNews.com. "The result was a firestorm of protest about the local Girl Scout and Planned Parenthood entanglement."
According to Pisciotta, several troops in the Waco and Houston areas disbanded or severed ties with the national Girl Scout Organization during the Waco boycott.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE REALLY MEANS THAT I HAVE THE FREEDOM TO NOT FUND WHAT I FIND REPREHENSIBLE AND TO NOT ENGAGE IN SUCH A PRACTICE MYSELF. TO NOT LIVE IN SUCH A WAY AS TO REQUIRE THAT I DO VIOLENCE TO AN UNBORN CHILD. AMERICA HAS PUT MONEY ABOVE GOD, AND I REFUSE TO PAY THE MURDER-FOR-HIRE FEE. YOU WANT AN ABORTION??
YOU PAY FOR IT.

I AM NOT GOING TO BE CULPABLE IN MURDER FOR YOUR CHOICES.

@GovGaryJohnson We should not have to fit our lives into cookie cutter laws that our govt. itself does not practice https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.79091778669.74391.773523669&type=3
GIVE RAND THE BROOM :// !!!!!

@GovGaryJohnson That's like saying--wait! Stop the war, Ambassador Stevens is gay. They attacked him anyway because they are full of hatred.

@GovGaryJohnson They're so~~ worried about a woman having a water pipe being a woman: I'm Native American, not a blazing Muslim. WTF

LET ME GUESS.... BECAUSE BEING GAY OR SMOKING A WATERPIPE IS A FORM OF BAAL WORSHIP, BECAUSE THE WATER PIPES JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE IN THE SHAPE OF A PHALLUS??

WOW... I HAVE NO PROBLEM SETTING ANYTHING DOWN, IF ANYONE WOULD ACCUSE ME OF IDOLATRY OR SOMETHING ELSE RUINING MY LIFE, WHETHER IT BE A RELATIONSHIP OR AN ACTIVITY.
@GovGaryJohnson The court had no jurisdiction to impose the Patriot Act on me, and neglecting their investigations and ending corruption.
@GovGaryJohnson Unless you have killed someone according to provision of Blood Law, court is arbitrary compared to tribal council matters.
@GovGaryJohnson Cherokee law different than regular sys. of English-Judaic law: my rights shouldn't have been violated over 9-11 conformity

 DISPARATE LAWS ERODE THE CONSTITUTION...

I SHOULD NOT HAVE REMAINED DETAINED AFTER FULL COOPERATION WITH THE POLICE, WHEN THEY DIDN’T PULL ME OVER FOR A TAG LIGHT, AS THEY ALLEGE: IF STORES ARE GOING TO SELL PIPES AND CHARGE SALES TAX, IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO POSSESS SUCH ITEMS AS TO BE CHARGED FOR PARAPHERNALIA.
I WAS NOT SMOKING AND DRIVING, NOR WAS I HOLDING A WATER PIPE AND GOT PULLED OVER. I KNOW FOR A FACT I WAS SOBER AND HAD BEEN, AND I WAS NOT DRINKING!
I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CHARGED AS IF I HAD COMMITTED DUI AND HELD IN THE COUNTIES DUNGEONS A YEAR, WHEN I WAS NOT A DUI CASE, JUST BECAUSE OF THE PATRIOT ACT:
THE COPS REFUSED TO PROSECUTE WHO THREATENED ME, PRIOR TO PULLING ME OVER, AND MY CASE SHOULD’VE BEEN SENT TO TRIBAL COURT.

NOT ONLY WERE MY RIGHTS VIOLATED BY THE COURT, I WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST.
I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PAY FINES, REPORT TO PROBATION FOR 3 YEARS OR BE THREATENED WITH A 3-30 YEAR PRISON SENTENCE BY A CORRUPT SYSTEM WHO WAS USING CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANTS TO SELL DRUGS, WHO THREATENED PEOPLE BY COERCION AND CODE OF SILENCE AND PRO-RATED LAWYERS, USING AN ABACUS TO MEASURE THE LAW.
@GovGaryJohnson If I'd have known a pipe was a sticking point during time of war in 2006 I would've thought differently, but I did not know.

I REALLY DID NOT GO READING LAWS BEFORE DECIDING IF I HAD BROKEN ONE. IN MY CULTURE, PEACE PIPES AND SMOKING ARE COMMON FOR RELIGIOUS CEREMONY, AS THEY ARE ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD: THEREFORE, WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO CONFORM TO A PROVISION OF 9-11 CONFORMITY LAW THAT IS ISLAMIC LAW?

@GovGaryJohnson Just as ridiculous #PatriotAct violation over some 9-11 conformity-water pipe forbidden-religious law
BEING AN AMERICAN MEANS THE FREEDOM TO WORSHIP AS ONE CHOOSES, AS LONG AS IT IS NOT HARMING ANYONE ELSE. THAT IS WHAT I SEE WITH GAY PEOPLE....
IT IS A VOW TO ANOTHER GOD. I MAY NOT AGREE WITH IT OR THINK THAT IS HOW I SHOULD LIVE MY LIFE, BUT THAT IS THEIR LIFE. I THINK THAT GAY PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN PRIVATE LIVES AND NOT INSIST ON IMPOSING IT ON OTHER PEOPLE.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH LAWS THAT INFRINGE ON PERSONAL FREEDOMS, ANYMORE THAN CONDONING SO-CALLED RELIGIOUS PRACTICES THAT HARM PEOPLE AND THUMB THE LAW IN THE NAME OF RELIGION !! SEE THE CATHOLIC SEX ABUSE CHURCH SCANDAL, OR THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY TAX EVASION...

LIFE IN JAIL FOR CUTTING AN AMISH BEARD?

Feds gets medieval, pushing for massive sentence

When is cutting someone’s beard a hate crime worthy of a life sentence? When the federal government says so.

Sixteen members of an Amish community in Bergholz, Ohio, were convicted of hate crimes for a hair- and beard-cutting attack on other Amish in fall of 2011.
Prosecutors charged them for hate crimes because hair has spiritual significance for the Amish, who believe the Bible instructs men to stop shaving once they marry.
The haircuts were meant to shame fellow Amish for straying from religious guidelines. The defendants argued the government was wrong to intervene in what was a family or church dispute.
The 16 men and women were convicted in Cleveland last year of charges including conspiracy, assault, hiding evidence and hate crimes.
Instead of the life sentence recommended by the government, a federal judge sentenced community leader Bishop Samuel Mullet to 15 years in prison. The judge sentenced 15 of Mullet’s followers to two-to-seven years in prison, including six women.
Now, the U.S. Bureau of Prisons says eight of the 10 men have been assigned to prisons across the country.
Steven Dettelbach, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, said, “It sends a message that the judge agreed that these were extremely serious crimes that require similarly serious sentences.”
Edward Bryan, the attorney who represented Mr. Mullet, said, “I was relieved that the judge didn’t follow the government’s recommendation for a life sentence, though I still believe the judge’s sentence was way too much.”
Bryan said a personal dispute should not have been turned into a federal crime, much less a hate crime.
“There was overkill involved in this case,” he argued. “The government had no business getting involved in this case the way they did. To justify it, they did everything they could to make a boogey man out of my defendant. He’s actually the opposite. He’s a decent, loving man.”
Even a spokesman for one of the nation’s leading proponents of hate-crime prosecutions appeared somewhat taken aback by the case.
“This was surprising to many people, that charges were as heavy as they were. I’m not disputing them, but it was a very vigorous prosecution by the government to say the least,” said Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center. “The case reflects a willingness of the government to go after hate criminals in a very heavy way.”
A history of hate-crime legislation published by the Congressional Research Service explains that the policy grew out of the civil rights movement in the 1950s, the women’s rights movement and the gay and lesbian rights movement in the 1970s.
The FBI defines a hate crime as a crime demonstrating bias. Its website states: “A hate crime is a traditional offense like murder, arson, or vandalism with an added element of bias. For the purposes of collecting statistics, Congress has defined a hate crime as a ‘criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.’ Hate itself is not a crime – and the FBI is mindful of protecting freedom of speech and other civil liberties.”
A fierce advocate for the prosecution of hate crimes, the Anti-Defamation League states.
“These crimes occur because of the perpetrator’s bias or animus against the victim on the basis of actual or perceived status – the victim’s race, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, or disability.”
The defendants in the Amish hate-crimes convictions share the same religion as their victims.
The Amish are traditionalist Christians who favor simple living, plain dress, rural living and self-sufficiency. They avoid modern technology, which could present a challenge for them in prison.
Bishop Samuel Mullet learned last weekend he will be sent to a prison in Texarkana, Texas. His three sons, and three other men convicted in the attacks, have been assigned to prisons in Minnesota, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Illinois.
They will enter a federal prison system where nearly half of the inmates are behind bars for drug offenses, and modern conveniences such as television will be a constant temptation.
Mullet encourages toughness in the face of their plight.
“Grow up,” he told his jailed son in a recorded phone call. “You can take more than that. I know it’s rough.”
All the defendants rejected plea deals offering leniency. Young mothers turned down chances for probation.
According to the prosecution, there are four defendant couples and the Bergholz community will care for their children.

IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE PUBLIC HUMILIATION CLINTON ENDURED AT THE HANDS OF HER HUSBAND DROVE HER TO SEEK THE COMPANY AND COMPANIONSHIP OF A WOMAN.

DOMA WAS HARMFUL TO HER, BECAUSE IT RELEGATED HER NEEDS AND DESIRES AS A PERSON, BY THE COURTS TO A STATUS UNDER ENGLISH COMMON LAW-JUDAIC LAW TO BE CONSIDERED AS WIFE, A FORM OF PROPERTY.
THIS IS WHY HILLARY DID NOT DIVORCE BILL 3-4 YEARS AGO:

THEIR MARRIAGE ALLOWED THEM TO PAY LESS TAXES AND WRITE OFF EXPENSES OF THEIR POLITICAL CAREERS THAT THEY COULD NOT IF THEY DID NOT REMAIN MARRIED. IN ESSENCE, IT IS A FORM OF TAX FRAUD OR MARRIAGE FRAUD. CHELSEA WAS RAISED AND THE MARRIAGE DISSOLVED.

BILL CLINTON TURNS THIS MARRIAGE FAILURE INTO POLITICAL JUSTIFICATION TO APPEAL A LAW HE SIGNED:

WHILE I EMPATHIZE WITH GAY PEOPLE, AS THEY HAVE THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO PURSUE WHATEVER MAKES THEM HAPPY,

THEY DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE EVERYONE ELSE MISERABLE TO ATTAIN THAT PURSUIT, AND THEY DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO CALL A VOW TO ANOTHER GOD A MARRIAGE IN A COURT OF LAW.

JUST LIKE CHRISTIAN PEOPLE CAN NOT IMPOSE THEIR BELIEFS AND DEMAND THAT GAY PEOPLE BE STRAIGHT, GAY PEOPLE CAN NOT LEGALLY CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF MARRIAGE INTO SOMETHING IT IS NOT JUST BECAUSE THEY FEEL THAT IT IS.

MARRIAGE IS TWO PEOPLE, WHO COMBINE, TO MAKE ONE. THERE IS NO WAY FOR GAY PEOPLE TO BIOLOGICALLY REPRODUCE, AND WHILE SOME LAWS SEEM TO RELEGATE THE STATUS OF GAY PEOPLE WHO ADOPT OR LIVE AS A SAME SEX COUPLE TO A LESSER STATUS, THE ISSUE OF STATE LICENSURE HAS TO BE DECIDED BY STATE REFERENDUM, OR THE STATE GOVERNMENT WOULD HAVE TO CEASE TO EXIST. IT WOULD BE HARD FOR STATES TO SANCTION THE ACTIVITY OF ANAL SEX AS REQUIRING A PERMIT OR LICENSE, AS WITH A MARRIAGE, BECAUSE SOME STATES STILL HAVE SODOMY LAWS ON THE BOOKS.

NO FEDERAL LAW CAN LEGALIZE SOMETHING THAT BY LEGAL DEFINITION DOES NOT EXIST IN THE EYES OF THE COURT IN THE CAPACITY OF MARRIAGE.

SPEAKING OF 9/11.........

DUE TO COST CONSTRAINTS AND GIVEN THAT GUANTANAMO BECAME A BLACK EYE IN THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY BY PROCURING EVIDENCE BY FRUIT OF THE POISONOUS TREE, MILITARY COSTS FORCED US TO EXAMINE A DIFFERENT AND COST-EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO LONG-TERM DETENTION, LIFE SENTENCES, OR GENUINE WAR CRIMES:

The Military Sequestration Prevention Act of 2012 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o8EOm65YL7ilLLf5cpXbgq_4BWQVCtlcbvIP3sCSVps/edit

The opening statement of the Constitution declares that we, the people of the United States, as one of our main duties is to provide for the common defense. This means that the people are the government, not the government as a separate entity, so that we decide as taxpayers how our money meets the needs of domestic peace and tranquility.

Article I, Sec. 8 determines that the power to declare war resides with Congress, and that no appropriation shall be made longer than two years to raise and support an Army.

At this time, Vice President Joe Biden, Senator John McCain, and Senator John Kerry are authorized to sign a declaration of war jointly, or any emergency military order as required by military command or conference. Obama has been relieved of signature authority, Vice President Biden is acting Commander-in-Chief.

Given these provisions of the Constitution listed above, it is necessary to revisit our commitments to other countries that fall under diplomacy operations and those that actually fall under the regular defense budget. There has been a lot of political discourse regarding “unconstitutional wars, endless war spending, and endless wars”, but these are misnomers when it comes to approving an annual defense budget and defining our previous and current national security needs.

Our war has always been against the enemy Al Qaeda, and the bulk of our military spending has been in pursuit of that enemy going on eleven years. After ending the Iraq War, that has been likened to my generation’s Vietnam, it is also necessary that we promote a military budget that is reasonable and does not use sequester, an across-the-board percentage cut, without thorough examination of the 2013 defense bill and what our military is requesting to carry out operations.

After reviewing the 2013 defense bill, we prefer a redirection of spending, as opposed to direct cuts to meet a budget the Senate hasn’t even produced, nor is Obama authorized to compose or impose upon anyone: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lG1SCohq6nIr7xQgUsTofCTWW4VL0S_kuKqGPKs1FAs/edit

A sequester is a default mechanism, usually used for annual business budgeting, but given that defense is the first priority of a Constitutionally-funded model budget and that the Senate has failed to produce an annual budget for 4 years straight and has been operating on a continuing resolution, we have averted 5 government shutdowns, and we pray to avert a 6th on 9/30/12.

*I would like to note that this process had gotten so political, so weighed down with ire and rhetoric for failure to even write a Constitutional budget, that the Tea Party and Paul Ryan took over this process. Paul Ryan wrote a deficit reduction budget called the Path to Prosperity, based on the works of Tom Coburn and others, which came forth from the very heated debate over the debt ceiling in the Summer of 2011, so the Tea Party drafted a working budget based on actual physical revenue trend, (in order to reach a target of deficit control and a path toward paying off our deficit annually).

After review, Bush Tax Cuts offset the inflation of the costs of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars to avoid a tax revolt during times of conflict. However now that Afghanistan is considered a matter of diplomacy operations in alliance with Karzai, those costs must be monitored effectively for approval of the 2013 defense budget.

The problem is, the Bush Tax Cuts caused us to borrow to pay Congress’ salaries over the past 10 years, and while this is not specifically about the 2013 defense appropriation bill, it is worth noting that Congress while in session works 12, 13, and 14 hour days at times, meets endlessly, and then while on break they meet with constituents.

We are not the part-time Congress of the Founding Fathers, who took off seasonally to manage domestic affairs and work. Congress may need to consider a reduction in their salary of $200 billion from last year to this year, to cause us not to borrow, unless those cuts are found.

Congress’ salary is $1 trillion annually, plus the $700 billion in interest that hits us every 5-6 months. While we would all like to get off of the continuing resolution model, it is imperative that everyone presents a budget to get a public consensus about how the government appropriates and carries out funding of each program. Failing to write a budget will be met by the wrath of voters, and Congress has been appealed to order misappropriation and remuneration charges over Obamacare, a $2 trillion tax increase that was just cremated by the House, for not providing any health insurance whatsoever.

Without a budget, the Democrats leave their constituents’ voices unheard and misrepresented to a cacophony of shouting and wasted floor time debating bills that aren’t even at hand.

Seeking balance, the 2013 TEA PARTY BALANCED BUDGET $3.5 TRILLION ANNUAL REVENUE https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq5m9QEGEZpOdFVCTlNEMTc1VW41bGZoOXRWdzlHVkE#gid=0 has been written to reflect the expiration and sunset of the Bush Tax Cuts, so that Congress is paid without having to borrow or pay the interest for their salaries. This will not only balance our domestic spending to our needs of national defense, this budget places us with a $25 billion down payment on our deficit, free and clear. This way the books are balanced going into 2013, and any additional revenue can be applied toward deficit reduction, as we begin to implement the Path to Prosperity proposals by March of 2013.

To discuss these matters specifically related to the 2013 defense budget, we ask that $600 billion be appropriated for general military operations, $200 billion for requiring anyone under 25 to get their Master’s degree for education/retraining purposes, and $200 billion for defense projects. The project list was due 8/1/12, when I attended the meeting, I did not hear of the projects or who had theirs ready for review.

  • We have abandoned the need for consideration of revisiting the military draft, unlike Israel. We want a volunteer Army, because we believe that our military works best that way, and we want our soldiers to function well in the private sector. We are making education a requirement, and we want no one under the age of 25 on front line duty, because the brain has not fully developed. This may cause some criticism from the military and how it chooses to operate, but we have to operate more wisely than we have in the past in recruiting, training, and retention of personnel.
  • Defense projects are to be submitted and approved by Allen West. He is an asset to be in a position of having served and to be able to communicate with military personnel with relative disclosure in being mindful that not everything must be left to public scrutiny.
  • I found the 2013 defense budget well constructed and easy to read, despite the repetition and long list of equipment, I was eventually able to tabulate the cost, but we need a different scoring system in the margin for legislation anyway.

In short, we ask that no defense cuts be made by percentage calculation or with respect to the annual budget, because we find that the 2013 defense budget takes taxpayer dollars into consideration, and that it is not asking for any increases but a preservation of operations.

We must take that into consideration as taxpayers, that our military has more than met their obligations and given us a 5 time renewal of Army to complete the task of our generation against Al Qaeda. We must also respect that our fight is not quite finished, that we have smoked out Al Qaeda in Yemen, and that with the help of Iraq, we now have Al Qaeda cornered in Syria. While we are looking forward to a time of peace and a time when the Middle East tension with neighbors subsides, we know that these are all factors of a delicate balance of operations and quality intelligence.

In order to prevent this sequester and to pay Congress, we are cutting $200 billion from the Judiciary, until they get serious and prioritize processing violent offenders and preventing abuse of tax dollars.
We also propose a measure that should sit well with those against capital punishment and those who
are tired of supporting terrorists, murderers, rapists and pedophiles to be housed for life sentences:

We will begin phasing out maximum security wards to isolating prisoners to Johnston Atoll.

With the invention or perfection of drones, we will be able to remotely secure prisoners on this deserted and abandoned military base. Johnston Atoll or Drone Island will function like exile, except we will know when the elements have taken a prisoner, as opposed to lethal injection costs and life sentencing housing costs:
http://www.justicepolicy.org/images/upload/09_05_REP_PruningPrisons_AC_PS.pdf

We find that life sentencing is a cruel and unusual punishment to taxpayers, who are forced to subsidize violent criminals’ sustenance, and it is cruel and unusual to deny someone the punishment their offense such deserves, an injustice that carries with it enormous impunity and consequently the perpetuation of violent crime trends. Johnston Atoll will help us mitigate costs and these issues surrounding other proposed Judicial Reform: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gCsVzgQIHy0GQOVl2b80fyNBTtPeA6dHCNXkwth-y3M/edit

With these reforms in place and implementation of “The Military Sequester Prevention Act of 2012”, we can not only help to reduce terrorism but other forms of violence in society, and in conjunction with the proposed use of Johnston Atoll, we ask that any existing law still in place for lack of a Senate vote taken on Obamacare, that the House begin redirecting funds appropriated to Planned Parenthood by Obamacare or H.R. 4872 to be implemented for the cost of plane travel and parachute for prisoners phased out to Johnston Atoll.

Failure to adhere to this budget or these proposals will bring further audit of federal prison costs and reforms, including deportations to country of origin to deserted areas like Johnston Atoll, for taxpayers do not have to sustain global terrorism through prison bases contrary to their well being, or gangs for twenty years to life.

We urge the Senate to act in passing the 2013 defense budget, as written, with the military to apply the reforms listed herein. If the Senate does not, we will pursue cutting the salaries of Senators by $200 billion, for creating a defense vacuum between now and 9-30-12, with our military unable to approve their project lists that were due on 8/1/12. The Department of Homeland security is also being considered for reductions, as well as other underperforming domestic agencies.

What Did Iran Know?

MAR 18, 2013, VOL. 18, NO. 26 • BY THOMAS JOSCELYN

Last week, the U.S. government announced that Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, Osama bin Laden’s Kuwaiti-born spokesman and son-in-law, had been arrested in Jordan and is awaiting trial in New York City. The Obama administration’s decision to place Abu Ghaith in the criminal justice system reignited a longstanding debate about the best way to deal with senior al Qaeda leaders. For example, Senator Lindsey Graham had this reaction: “The Congress has tried to tell the administration that when it comes to people like this we want them to go to Gitmo to be held for interrogation purposes.”
SULAIMAN ABU GHAITH
Here is one question interrogators would almost certainly need substantial time to explore: What does Abu Ghaith know about al Qaeda’s relationship with Iran?
Beginning in 2002, and for much of the post-9/11 period, Abu Ghaith lived in Iran. He operated freely for part of that time. The Iranians placed Abu Ghaith under a loose form of house arrest in 2003. But they reportedly eased their grip on him sometime in 2010. After leaving Iran, Abu Ghaith was detained in Turkey earlier this year—before being picked up by the FBI in Jordan.
As a trusted member of bin Laden’s inner circle who had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks, Abu Ghaith recruited Kuwaitis for training in al Qaeda’s Afghan camps. In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, he served as bin Laden’s chief apologist and propagandist. In late 2001, he threatened America while sitting alongside bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri in al Qaeda videos.

But with the American-led manhunt under way, he and other senior al Qaeda operatives soon sought refuge with Afghanistan’s western neighbor. The Obama administration’s indictment reads: “During 2002, Abu Ghaith arranged to be, and was, smuggled successfully from Afghanistan into Iran.” The indictment is limited to Abu Ghaith’s involvement in al Qaeda activities in 2001 and 2002. We do not know exactly when in 2002 he relocated to Iran. But a great deal of his work was almost certainly done from the mullahs’ refuge.
In June 2002, Abu Ghaith published a statement online saying that “Al Qaeda has the right to kill four million Americans, including one million children, displace double that figure, and injure and cripple hundreds and thousands.” In his memoir, At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA, former CIA director George Tenet says that an alarmed U.S. government “had to consider the possibility that Abu Ghaith was attempting to justify the future use of weapons of mass destruction that might greatly exceed the death toll of 9/11.”
Fortunately, no such attack took place. But in an audio recording released that same June, Abu Ghaith claimed credit on behalf of al Qaeda for the April 11, 2002, truck bombing of a Tunisian synagogue. NBC News and the Associated Press reported that the cell responsible for the bombing had been in touch with al Qaeda leaders inside Iran.
In July 2002, Abu Ghaith threatened more bloodshed. “Al Qaeda will organize more attacks inside American territory and outside, at the moment we choose, at the place we choose and with the objectives that we want,” he said, according to an account published at the time by the Associated Press.
In October 2002, an al Qaeda cell recruited and indoctrinated by Abu Ghaith opened fire on U.S. Marines stationed on Kuwait’s Faylaka Island. One Marine was killed and another was seriously wounded. Was bin -Laden’s man in contact with the cell beforehand? We don’t know.
Then, in November 2002, al Qaeda terrorists attacked an Israeli hotel, killing 13 people, and tried to down an Israeli jetliner in Mombasa, Kenya. Abu Ghaith claimed credit for that operation on behalf of al Qaeda the following month. Al Qaeda has strict protocols for claiming responsibility for its attacks. That Abu Ghaith trumpeted the organization’s culpability in Tunisia and Kenya strongly suggests he was coordinating with al Qaeda’s most senior leaders at the time.
Also in December 2002, Abu Ghaith threatened additional attacks against the United States and Israel. And bin Laden’s spokesman warned the Muslim world of the “danger of what America and its allies are preparing against Iraq and its people,” which “is not limited to overthrowing the infidel regime and its dictator but is aimed at .  .  . Balkanizing this great country.”
At some point in 2003, after repeated complaints from the United States and its allies, the Iranians placed Abu Ghaith and other senior al Qaeda operatives under house arrest. Abu Ghaith was mostly quiet in the years that followed, and we cannot be sure what he was up to.

FBI informant's perilous work in Fla. Taliban case

  • David Mahmood Siddiqui poses for …
PLANTATION, Fla. (AP) — Standing on a Pakistani mountainside with a suspected Taliban fighter, FBI undercover informant David Mahmood Siddiqui remembers thinking, he could have been sent hurtling off a cliff to his death with just a nudge. In such dangerous situations, Siddiqui said he always tried to hold a Quran tightly in his hands.
"As long as you have a Quran in your hands," he told The Associated Press in an interview Friday, "they (the Taliban) will not harm you."
Siddiqui, a 58-year-old Pakistani-American who became a U.S. citizen in 1977, spent four years helping the FBI build its case against Hafiz Muhammad Sher Ali Khan, who was convicted Monday of terrorism support and conspiracy charges. Evidence during his two-month trial showed that Khan, the 77-year-old imam at a Miami mosque, funneled about $50,000 to the Pakistani Taliban, listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S.
Siddiqui wore an FBI wire to record thousands of conversations with Khan. Prosecutors made heavy use of the evidence Siddiqui gathered, playing dozens of those recordings in court.
Khan faces up to 15 years in prison on each of the four counts when he is sentenced in May. Siddiqui said the verdict was more than just.
"He was found guilty because he is guilty. I was there, and I saw what happened," he said. "I asked him on a recorded conversation if he was Taliban and he said yes. It's right there on the tape."
Testifying in his own defense, Khan insisted that he never supported the Taliban and that the money he sent overseas was for his family, for charity and to support his religious school, known as a madrassa. The school is in Pakistan's Swat Valley, which at times has been dominated by the Taliban. Khan claimed that it was Siddiqui who was a Taliban backer and that he only played along because Siddiqui promised to give him $1 million for his good works.
Not true, Siddiqui said in the interview. FBI agents also testified there was no evidence to back up Khan's claim about the money.
"I never promised him $1 million. He is a liar," he said.
Siddiqui, by trade a chef and restaurant manager, said he became an informant after noticing that the FBI was interested in recruiting Muslims and speakers of Pakistani languages such as Pashto and Urdu. He said he had worked as a food service manager in Libya for an oil company and encountered strong anti-American sentiment there, which upset him.
"I decided it was time for me to work with a federal agency where I could help them to catch bad people," he said.
After Siddiqui signed up, the FBI used him as an informant to help make national security cases in San Antonio, Texas; New York City; and elsewhere in Florida, he said. But the Khan case, which he began to work on in 2008, was by far the biggest. The FBI paid him about $126,000 plus expenses for four years of work.
"I did it for the love of my country, not for money. If I had a restaurant, I could have made a lot more money," Siddiqui said.
Wearing the wire to surreptitiously record talks with Khan was dangerous enough. But in September 2010, the FBI sent Siddiqui to Pakistan's Swat Valley to meet up with some of people who were getting Khan's money. With Khan's grandson Alam Zeb as his driver — Zeb is a suspected Taliban fighter also indicted by the U.S. in the Khan case — Siddiqui spent three weeks gathering intelligence.
He couldn't take notes, because they might be discovered. Obviously he couldn't record anything. He had no way of contacting the FBI. At one point, he found out later, agents feared he might have been killed. He met Taliban soldiers, some of them bearing battle scars, many telling tales of combat with Pakistan's army and with U.S. forces in Afghanistan. He visited Khan's madrassa. He witnessed a woman being whipped by a tribal leader because she allowed too much of her face to be seen.
"The whole place was Taliban," Siddiqui said. "Was it dangerous? Yes, very dangerous. I did it with faith in my country and my FBI friends."
Eventually, Zeb drove Siddiqui back to Islamabad, but Siddiqui waited until he flew to Bangkok, Thailand, to contact his FBI handlers out of concern that Pakistan's intelligence service might be monitoring his communications. Siddiqui said he told the bureau about a Taliban plot to attack a supply convoy on its way from Pakistan to U.S. forces in Afghanistan and believes it may have been averted.
Khan's attorney, Khurrum Wahid, said Friday there is little evidence to support many of Siddiqui's claims about what took place during his trip to Pakistan, which he said were filled with "lies and exaggerations." Pakistan cut off video testimony by defense witnesses from Islamabad during the trial in which people who met Siddiqui would have refuted his claims, the attorney said.
"I believe he lied to his handlers about what happened in Pakistan," Wahid said. "I traced his entire path."
Siddiqui said he's not sure if the FBI will ask for his services again, but said he'd gladly do it. He's looking for work in the restaurant or food service field. Siddiqui, father of three older children, lives in a quiet Fort Lauderdale suburb with his wife, who works at a local mall.
"I finished my job. I finished my enemy. Now, hopefully, I'll get a job," he said.
