The Native American party was founded in 1841 at a state convention in Louisiana. Its general tenets were based on the philosophy that foreigners (and especially Irish Catholics) were anathema to the American existence. Party members adhered to the belief that foreigners should not be allowed to hold any office of public trust in the government, whether federal, state, or local. In 1854, the party adopted the policy that even United States citizenship should be granted only after an emigrant had lived in this country for 21 years -- thus the symbolism on this flag.
You know where I'm going with this: Obama's father was not a citizen of this country, nor is Obama: he was born in Kenya, raised by their tribe, he was then shuffled to his grandmother who lived in Hawaii. He was the unwanted child of his mother's tryst in college, who married an Indonesian Muslim man to keep Obama's family in Kenya out of his life, and he was schooled in a Muslim Madrassa for his Elementary years. She later married a Marxist political activist, who indoctrinated Obama on how to break every rule of good governance and get around the law. Obama crowned his unwanted child status with this radical political and religious upbringing, by becoming a Harvard lawyer, to learn how to get around Constitutional law. In essence, he tried to establish false citizenship by residency only, though he was not born here, nor did he grow up here, nor does he care to uphold the Constitution, the law, unless he can find a way to exploit it.

Are Big Scandals Too Hard To Fix?

The news media and the Congress had fun being outraged over some conferences held by the Internal Revenue Service. They had actually spent $17,000 for a painter who painted while giving a talk. They gave away mugs with logos on them. They did things companies do at conferences.
Somehow the very smallness of the dumb things allowed the news media and the Congress to think about them.
Looming behind this tiny molehill of expense is a 20 year series of Inspector General Reports on billions and billions of dollars of fraud and inaccuracy in paying the Earned Income Tax Credit.
After 20 years of both parties in Congress and the Executive Branch failing to solve the problem, the most recent report suggests that in 2012 alone the IRS made improper Earned Income Tax Credit payments between $11.6 billion and $13.6 billion, or 21 to 25 percent of the program’s total payments.
The Daily Finance report on the errors give you a sense of the scale:
“Put in context, the FBI spent just over $8 billion on salaries that year. The Department of Education’s budget for grants to primary and secondary education in 2013 is $14.5 billion. In terms of sequestration cuts, the EITC’s overpayment exceeds the $9.9 billion that has been cut from Medicare, and is equal to a little less than half of the $28.7 billion that is getting stripped from all discretionary federal spending.”
This incompetent and fraudulent management of the program by the IRS has been going on every year for at least two decades. Projected over the next ten years it is at least $130 billion in improper payments.
Congress has held an occasional hearing, but no one has looked at the non-government models that might actually solve the problem.
This is an example of the need for a “breakout approach” to solving problems.
American Express, Visa and MasterCard manage large amounts of money. They keep losses from fraud and mismanagement in a range from 0.06 to 0.1 percent of their total payments. That is from six one hundredths of a percent to one tenth of a percent loss.
The IRS operates the Earned Income Tax Credit making 21 to 25 percent of its payments improperly.
That means you as a taxpayer have at least $210 lost to fraud and inaccuracy by your government for every dollar lost by Visa or Mastercard, comparing the worst credit card record with the best IRS record. If you compared the best credit card record with the worst IRS record that would be losing approximately $416 worth of taxpayer money for every dollar a credit card company lost.
Congress has known about this loss of money for two decades.
There have been modest efforts to improve the program marginally but nothing has worked. (To show you the difference in expectations between the bureaucracy and the private sector, the law that was intended to clamp down on the improper payments required the IRS to get them below 10 percent — only 100 times the worst rate of the credit card companies.)
They have failed because the temptation to get the money is greater than the IRS’s concern about protecting the money.
Since a working family could get up to $6,000 in Earned Income Tax Credit (including the additional child payment) there is a substantial incentive to find ways to get the money.
Aggressive incentives for individual creativity almost always beat passive bureaucracies (the problem is huge in Medicare and Medicaid for the same reason and probably in every government payment program).
The technology of cheating has far outstripped the bureaucracy of enforcement.
If the $17,000 painter was worth looking at, you would think $130 billion in fraud over a decade could become a major focus of attention.
Yet neither the Congress nor the news media has the will to look at big things and think through really big changes.
There is a great opportunity in a “breakout theory” of applying the new systems invented by pioneers of the future to transforming government. In the Earned Income Tax Credit alone, that approach might be worth billions.
One final note on speed and intensity.
If Wal-mart, Costco, Target , or McDonald’s were told they had a division losing 21 to 25 percent of its gross revenue to fraud, they would be relentless about making the necessary changes until the problem is fixed.
In the private sector, businesses respond immediately and decisively to losing lots of money.
Since the public sector loses the taxpayers’ money rather than its own, shouldn’t we expect the Congress and the President to show the same focus and the same urgency?
Ask your House and Senate members when are they going to end the Earned Income Tax Credit losses.

What Dzokhar Tsarnaev has to do with Bradley Manning

A few politicians and general lunatics have called for torture, military tribunals, and even “a July 4 celebration of stringing this son-of-a-b-tch up in the Boston Common and letting the crows pick on his rotting flesh.” (That last one is courtesy of Ted Nugent). And despite not being read his Miranda Rights, it does seem that, at the least, Tsarnaev will receive a trial-by-jury. How fair that trial will be remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: The only reason Tsarnaev is getting this fair trial is because this case is so predominantly in the public’s eye.

Certainly, it stands to the symbolic greatness of a country who promises a fair trial-by-jury to all of its citizens, regardless of the hideousness of the crimes committed. Unfortunately, this promise is only rhetorical and applies only when it serves the purposes of the power elite. Tsarnaev will get his promise of a trial with a jury of his peers, yet, behind the scenes, the Obama Administration and those in power wage a secret war against whistleblowers that the public does not see.

While the media focuses on Tsarnaev and his eventual trial, Bradley Manning is spending his 1,059th day in detention without trial. On May 29, 2010, Manning was arrested. For the first ten months of his detention, he was kept locked in solitary confinement, was denied social interaction, exercise, and sunlight, and at times forced to stay completely naked, treatment that the U.N. special rapporteur on torture, Juan Mendez, called cruel and inhumane.
Manning’s crime that has caused him to spend three birthdays in prison without trial: releasing classified military documents to the news source Wikileaks that show, among other things,  a U.S. Apache helicopter gunning down over a dozen people in Baghdad in 2007, including civilians and two Reuter’s employees, photojournalist Namir Noor-Eldeen and his driver Saeed Chmagh, now dubbed the Collateral Murder video. Also released were the Iraq War Logs, chronicling reports from 2004-2009 of thousands of cases of prisoner torture and abuse filed against coalition forces in Iraq. The reports include gruesome description of people being whipped with cables, sexually assaulted, urinated on, and hung from the ceiling on hooks. In addition, the War Logs added 15,000 civilian deaths to the known body count, totalling over 150,000 people, of which about 80% were civilian.

Manning has since pled guilty to 10 of the 22 charges against him, including releasing the documents, but did not plead guilty to the most serious of charges, aiding the enemy. His court date is scheduled for June 3rd, and instead of trying this American citizen in a civilian court with a jury of his peers, as we apparently will with Tsarnaev, Manning’s guilt or innocence will be decided by military judge Col. Denise Lind, a decision that could mean a life sentence for Manning, just 25 years old.
Clearly, Manning’s treatment while in solitary confinement, his over 1,000 day detention without trial, and the very fact that he is being prosecuted, rather than held up as a heroic soldier who blew the whistle on war crimes, is unjust enough. Yet these facts are made worse by the fact that the government is blocking full access to Manning’s trial and has effectively silenced his voice from the mainstream media. During Manning’s pretrial hearing, recordings were banned but a secret recording of Manning’s statement was later released, prompting a response from a military spokesperson saying that the media center at Ft. Meade was “a privilege, not a requirement,” and that “privileges can be taken away.” Following his pretrial hearing, a lawsuit brought on by the Center for Constitutional Rights and a group of journalists seeking access to documents and transcripts in the court-martial proceedings for Manning was rejected by the court.
(I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS SO CONTROVERSIAL AT THIS POINT, OR EVEN SO AS TO EXPOSE THE WARPED NATURE OF THE CHARGES WITHOUT PROBABLE CAUSE BEING PROVEN, THAT FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUESTS ARE VIOLATED. AT SOME POINT, THEY ARE PUBLIC RECORD ANYWAY, BECAUSE SOMEONE HEARD THEM. BIG WHOOP.)
The secret recording of Manning’s statement marked the first time that Manning was able to defend his decisions to release the documents to Wikileaks. When he spoke of the Collateral Murder Video, Manning described his alarm at watching U.S. soldiers gun down the people on the ground. What was most alarming, he said,
“was the seemingly delightful bloodlust the aerial weapons team—they appeared to have. They dehumanized the individuals they were engaging and seemed to not value human life by referring to them as, quote, “dead bastards,” unquote, and congratulating each other on the ability to kill in a large—in large numbers…For me, this seems similar to a child torturing ants with a magnifying glass.”
Manning also spoke of his desire to bring these issues to the general public to spark debate about the role of the U.S. military and our foreign policy:  
“I believed that if the general public, especially the American public, had access to the information contained within the CIDNE-I and CIDNE-A tables, this could spark a domestic debate on the role of the military and our foreign policy in general, as well as it related to Iraq and Afghanistan. I also believed the detailed analysis of the data over a long period of time by different sectors of society might cause society to re-evaluate the need or even the desire to engage in counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations that ignore the debate—that ignore the complex dynamics of the people living in the affected environment every day.”
And this is exactly why the government has worked so hard to silence Manning and hide him from view of the general public.
(FIRST OF ALL, MANNING WAS FIGHTING A WAR, NOT HOLDING A DEBATE. SECONDLY, MILITARY HAS A PROTOCOL FOR BRINGING ABUSE TO THE ATTENTION OF COMMAND. OF PARTICULAR CONCERN, WAS THE LAX COMPUTER SECURITY THAT ENABLED MANNING TO ACCESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF MANNING WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH HIS SUPERIORS, THERE WAS JAG. THERE WAS ALSO CONGRESS. CONGRESS IN PARTICULAR HAS BEEN VERY CONCERNED ABOUT CYBERSECURITY, AND THEY COULD HAVE USED HIS TESTIMONY BEFORE HE WAS SHUT IN THE HOLE FOR 3 YEARS. IN FACT, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE TO WHAT MANNING DID THAN WHAT MOST UNDERSTAND. RUNNING YOUR MOUTH TO THE PRESS OR TO WIKILEAKS IS EXCHANGING INFORMATION THAT BENEFITS ONE OR BOTH PARTIES, OR A THIRD PARTY. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN NOT SPEAK OUT, THAT YOU MUST FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, IN MANNING’S CASE ON CYBERSECURITY.  WHAT HAPPENED AS A CONSEQUENCE OF MANNING’S UNAUTHORIZED DISCLOSURE, WAS A COPY FOUND AS THE BIN LADEN PROPAGANDA CENTER. NOW, I WOULD LIKE MORE EVIDENCE THAN JUST TELLING ME IT WAS FOUND THERE AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT, BECAUSE I, LIKE PAKISTAN BELIEVE OSAMA HAS LONG BEEN DEAD. THE ISSUE IS, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE POLICE ARE CORRUPT, YOUR RIGHTS ARE BEING VIOLATED, AND SPEAKING OUT COULD GET YOU 1 TO 3 YEARS IN PRISON, OR 10 YEARS? WHO STANDS TO DIE IF YOU SPEAK OUT OR WHO WILL DIE IF YOU DON’T?)
MANY PEOPLE MAKING THE MISTAKE OF SIMPLY BLURTING OUT INFORMATION: YOU MUST CREATE A RECORD, BECAUSE THIS ESTABLISHES PROBABLE CAUSE. YOU MUST INVESTIGATE AND RESEARCH THAT RECORD. YOU MUST THEN DETERMINE WHO NEEDS TO HEAR THE INFORMATION TO ACT ON IT, SO THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC AND YOUR PRIVACY IS PROTECTED.
Debate. Asking questions. Questioning our role abroad. Understanding the complexities of war. These things do not serve the purposes of the power elite. We are meant to see things simply; matter-of-factly. We’re told that modern war is clean. Efficient. Targeted. We don’t see the civilian toll, not only in the numbers of dead, but also in the legacy that war leaves behind. In Iraq alone, for example, recent studies have been released concerning the enormously high rates of cancers, birth defects, and infant mortality in the Iraqi city of Fallujah due to the use of depleted uranium in U.S. weapons during our involvement there.

We are not meant to see the true costs of war. It has been all but removed from our view and our everyday lives, and that is precisely how The Empire wants it.

If Bradley Manning can be rendered invisible, then so too can the questions that he and the documents he released have raised. Dzokhar Tsarnaev will receive a trial, as he should. But let’s not be fooled about what is happening to our rights in this country. If Manning can be silenced, if debate and questions can be censored, if the media can be gagged, then our empirical wars can be waged across the globe without restraint.

EXPLOSIVE: REP. LOUIE GOHMERT GETS FBI DIRECTOR TO MAKE STUNNING ADMISSION ABOUT CONVICTED TERROR SUPPORTER

Things got seriously tense during a House Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday when Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and FBI Director Robert Mueller battled over the efficiency of the FBI’s investigation into the Boston bombers prior to the April 15 terrorist attack.
Surprisingly, Mueller claimed he wasn’t aware that the mosque that the Boston bombing suspects attended, the Islamic Society of Boston, was founded by a convicted supporter of terrorism.
Due to this and other reasons, Gohmert argued not enough was done to prevent the attack as the suspects’ radical Islamic ties were overlooked.

“The FBI never canvassed Boston mosques until four days after the April 15 attacks,” he said. “If the Russians tell you that someone has been radicalized and you go check and see the mosque that they went to, then you get the articles of incorporation as I have for the group that created the Boston mosque where these Tsarnaevs attended and you find out the name Alamoudi.”
Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was convicted and is currently in jail for supporting terrorism, co-founded the mosque that the two Boston bombing suspects attended in Boston, Gohmert lectured.
“And you didn’t even bother to go check about the mosque?” he added. “Then when you have the pictures, why did no one go to the mosque and say, ‘who are these guys?’”

Mueller then accused Gohmert of not having his facts “together,” setting off an explosive exchange.
“Point out specifically,” Gohmert began.
“May I finish my–” the FBI boss shot back.
“Sir, if you are going to call me a liar, you need to point out specifically where any facts are wrong,” Gohmert said.
Mueller countered by arguing that the FBI was at the Boston mosque months prior to the Boston bombing as a part of its “outreach efforts.”
“Were you aware that those mosques were started by Alamoudi?” Gohmert pressed.
“I’ve answered the question,” Mueller said.
“You didn’t answer the question, were you aware they were started by Alamoudi?”
“No,” the FBI director finally muttered.
“You were not, thank you,” Gohmert concluded.

The mosque where at least one of the two suspected Boston Marathon bombers prayed has a controversial history, with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, terror funding and frequent fiery sermons, according to a group that has long monitored the house of worship.

The mosque’s founders were in the Muslim Brotherhood and one, Abdurahman Alamoudi, pled guilty in 2004 for conducting illegal transactions with the Libyan government and his partial role in a conspiracy to assassinate Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, Hale said. Alamoudi, who served as an Islamic adviser to President Clinton, was accused by critics of espousing pro-American language while lobbying in Washington, while expressing his support of terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah when addressing Islamist rallies.
Sheikh Ahmed Mansour, who has served on the APT board with Hale and founded the Quranists sect of Islam, leading to his eventual exile from his native Egypt, told FoxNews.com that the rhetoric at the Cambridge mosque gave him a bad feeling.

The news broke within the last few minutes. If his name sounds familiar, it’s because Morell was the guy who signed off on the now infamous edit of the CIA’s Benghazi talking points that removed references to previous warnings about jihadi activity in the area. Is today’s resignation related to that, or is it related somehow to the NSA/PRISM/Snowden clusterfark?
Fox News is quoting his statement as saying “It’s time for my family,” but I can’t remotely believe this guy would quit now in the middle of a Category Five natsec hurricane knowing how suspicious it would look if he didn’t have a more compelling reason than that. Is he being squeezed out because there’s some more damning leak to come and the White House wants to get out in front of it by dispatching with the person or persons responsible?
Stand by for updates.
Update: The person set to replace Morell as deputy is — ta da — a White House lawyer who’s worked on national security issues. Is she being chosen because new CIA chief John Brennan knows/respects her from his time working with her in the WH or because O wants a tighter hold on the CIA and needs loyalists in charge there to make it happen?
Update: If O wanted a scapegoat for NSA snooping, which would be really weird given that he’s been defending the snooping himself, he’d can the NSA’s director, no? Morell seems a bit far afield to blame for that unless there’s something we don’t know.
Update: I thought he wanted to spend more time with his family.
Morell, widely admired both within the intelligence community and Capitol Hill, is a veteran of the CIA’s analytical division, rather than undercover espionage, and had worked at the agency for 33 years.
He will join the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, the White House said.
O might want Morell out but he doesn’t want him disgruntled. An honorary position on his intel board might keep him happy, no? Then again, if Morell’s moving over to the IAB, presumably that means there’s nothing scandalous about him coming out. No point in cutting him loose from CIA to distance the White House from him if you’re going to appoint him to a presidential board instead. Maybe this really is an exceptionally ill-timed resignation for personal reasons.

11:48 AM - 12 May 13 · Details The reason the drone was not dispatched? Obama and Hillary did not seek a declaration of war prior to choosing to arm the rebels. It was a covert CIA coordination op. Also, they did not have the money to respond, because Hillary cut the State Dept. budget to fund $400 billion Obamacare remuneration via Daniel Inouye, and no one explained this overage in the Cont. Res. that got approved. Since Obama did not seek an Article 5 like Bush, on Syria, like he should have, there were no NATO resources in place to readily dispatch. I waited to see what news stations would report it, and though Ambassador Stevens was dead, Diane Sawyer stated at 7pm that the protesters ceased/had gone home, though the President of Libya said Ambassador Team was dead by that time. No local station picked it up even through the night at all, and the ONLY internet news station that made mention of it before midnight was Anderson Cooper.

Obama Confirms Christians in Military are Targets




President Obama has threatened to veto a bill that would protect military members' religious free speech rights, confirming fears that his Administration plans to target Christians who discuss their faith.
The House Armed Services Committee last week passed an amendment on H.R. 1960, the National Defense Authorization Act, that would protect Christians and members of other faiths.
The amendment was made necessary because of recent revelations that the Pentagon has been working with notoriously anti-Christian atheist activist Mikey Weinstein, founder of the misleadlingly named Military Religious Freedom Foundation, to craft a policy that could subject Christians who are caught talking about their faith to punishment, including court martial.
The Pentagon denies that's the plan, trying to draw a distinction between "proselytizing" and "evangelizing," which are synonyms in most dictionaries.
Weinstein is a far-left fanatic and loose cannon who has publicly stated that Christian evangelizing is tantamount to treason and that Christians should be punished, by the hundreds if need be. He also apparently has easy access to the upper echelons at the Pentagon and to left-wing bigshots such as former Ambassador Joe Wilson, he of "yellowcake" fame.
The amendment introduced by Republican John Fleming of Louisiana drew an objection from the White House, which released a message that states:
"Expansion and Implementation of Protection of Rights of Conscience of Members of the Armed Forces and Chaplains of Such Members: The Administration strongly objects to section 530, which would require the Armed Forces to accommodate, except in cases of military necessity, 'actions and speech' reflecting the 'conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the member.' By limiting the discretion of commanders to address potentially problematic speech and actions within their units, this provision would have a significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment."
The statement also includes a threat that Obama will veto the bill if it arrives at his desk with the amendment intact.
The policy that has been developing at the Pentagon would also cover chaplains, not just ordinary troops, who try to persuade other military members to adopt Christianity or any other religion. Although coercing someone in religious matters has long been prohibited by the military branches, it's never been perceived as a widespread problem until recently, largely due to Weinstein's lobbying, by all accounts.
"Someone needs to be punished for this," Weinstein said. "Until the Air Force or Army or Navy or Marine Corps punishes a member of the military for unconstitutional religious proselytizing and oppression, we will never have the ability to stop this horrible, horrendous, dehumanizing behavior."
Weinstein is part of the cadre -- dare we say cabal? -- of foes of Christianity who seek through the courts, government agencies and legislation to force biblical religion out of public sight while installing their own religion, atheism, as a state-mandated faith. By calling atheism a "nonreligion" and hiding behind phrases like "separation of church and state" and "religious freedom," the atheist agenda is advanced.
By threatening to veto the amendment to the defense bill, President Obama is continuing his Administration's record of attacking biblical religion.
